Four stars out of what? I'd give Total Recall, Predator, Last Action Hero and The Running man all ten *'s 8-)

It was a bit crap yeah.

Not quite as bad as some make out, but not really good either.

It's not terrible. The 'comedy' stuff really falls flat, and the Terminatrix is a bit rubbish but it's an efficient enough thriller in its own right, it's got a great ending, and the crane chase sequence is superb.

I enjoyed it as an action movie. Some of the plot was ok on the whole too (as in the skynet stuff, John Connor and judgement day etc..) it was just let down by some ill-advised comedy bits and as people have said, not being as good as the previous two.

It could have been a lot worse though but certainly could have been a lot better too.

It's not dreadful, but it adds nothing to the franchise either.

I'd suggest, repectfully, you're wrong on both points. Firstly, on almost every aspect, it's dreadful: - casting, script, tone, etc. Secondly, it returns to the franchise, the certainty of predestination of the first film, as opposed to the wishy-washy "making history as we go" ambiguity of the (admittedly enjoyable) T2.

I didn't really like it, a lot of it just makes the franchise worse, while the female Terminator was just a stupid decision.

Nothing on Robert Patrick's T-1000.

That's the main reason I love T2. The idea of a shape-shifting liquid metal terminator is just so cool and every scene in which the T-1000 is in is perfect.

Another reason I loved T2 is the whole switcheroo they did with the Terminators. I had no idea before watching the film that Arnie was not a baddie, and the film is set up so that if you don't know that then it's really suspensful at the start. It's one of the best twists in a film IMO.
