IGM, I genuinely can't describe how much I like that picture. Would love to visit there.

Nijo Castle in Kyoto, the weather was perfect that day.

That looks great Alpha, helped by my current thing for greenery and blue skies.

I took a few odd ones whilst I was in Cornwall last week. Nothing amazing, just though I would post.

Just to set the scene, no one was in the sea really (couple of surfers who kept coming back in), the waves were huge, no Lifeguards as it was past their times and the beach was getting flooded as the tide came in, this guys just walks in like it was nothing.

The rest:

The person in the middle is my friend, that thing was huge, can't show it well in picture though, your feet just sank as you tried to climb it.

The last one being my personal favourite.

Wow, thanks! It's difficult not to take good photos when you are up there. Glen Coe and Rannoch Moor are beautiful places to see, whatever the weather. The whole journey from Glasgow to Fort William is pretty stunning.

A few shots from Italy, went earlier this year with my gf, have some great shots but she's in them and I don't really want to post pictures of her on GRc.

That's confetti blown into the sky at the end of "All These Things That I've Done" in The Killer's set at Reading.

That's a hoverfly, not a wasp!

...artistic licence? Wasp sounds so much more dramatic.

I don't think it's a gerbera either but it's the only brightly coloured flower I know...

And thanks, emilythestrange, comments much appreciated.

Here is the other puddle reflection pic I took yesterday( I only took two as I was scared of dropping my camera into it!):

I've probably posted this already somewhere but meh, it wasn't on my Photobucket.

It's my background on everything that can have one  I miss summer. It looks about ten times better full size.

That's an incredible picture, dodems. So much detail even on the distant clouds.

Cheers :D I was stunned when I was it, tried to get a panoramic shot but it didn't work out right. How the clouds separate the sun from the blue sky is dandy.

Just fiddling around, just seen DeviantArt doesn't resize them, just click the picture to make it full size http://dodems.deviantart.com/art/Sunset-97925389

Guess there's a point where it becomes too big and you can see some of the camera's flaws.

Looks great in full size as well, dodems.

Here is a pic I took of the moon ages ago:

Image

That is on full digital zoom (so 30 times zoom overall, I think). The optical zoom alone would have given a pic about a third of the size...

I recently bought a 1.4x zoom lens for my camera so should hopefully be able to get closer pics, the next time it's not bloody cloudy!

Indeed it is. As is the journey from Fort William to Mallaig, or the run up to Skye.

Yep, it's a beautiful part of the country all right. I was born and raised in Fort William, but have lived down in Glasgow for about 12 years now. I appreciate far more now than when I was growing up just how incredible the scenery is.
