I bet my old dear is in panic mode. I expect she's already buying loads of tinned food and bottled water, storing it up in the cellar!

Now you've broadcast that to the world expect to be at the centre of a shitstorm as people battle to the death for those pilchards. I'm going to wait until the end and just take out the winners who will be tired from fighting and then those pilchards will be all mine. You can keep the sugar.

I've bought a Pot Noodle. Just in case.

I've also bought some bottled water. JUST IN CASE THE WATER IS CONTAMINATED.

You can't have a Pot Noodle without any water, you see. It'd be a bit DRY.

One of his lab-rats probably started it, in which case that worthy deserves either death by fire-breath (certainly an honour?) or a promotion.

Now if only this outbreak could be refined to target bad parents, the long-term unemployed and other drains on society...

The article I read this monring said there had been just over a thousand reported cases and of those just over 80 deaths, so about only 8% of peeps who caught it have actually died from it.

Wasn't the mortality rate for the Spanish Flu lower?

All the virus has to do is find its way to an overpopulated region with a poor health infrastructure, and then it's going to really run amok. The far east contains numerous such places, and with H5N1 still present in certain areas... the two combining is not a thought I wish to hold on to.

At the very least this will give me something to write about in my final year essay paper.

Yeah thank goodness this turned up in Mexico city, which has such a small population... oh wait.

Nooooooo.

Ah well, if they quarantine the city at least that gives me more studying time for my exams which would be welcome.
