This will all die out in a month or two. There was all this talk about SARS and bird flu and where are they now? Maybe the media are getting fed up of talking about recession so they'll jump on some flu saying it'll kill us all.

I've heard that scientists are currently trying to create a special oinkment to cure the disease.

They said on Sky earlier that it is treatable, but not yet preventable, so as long as they have some control over it there should be enough drugs to go around. I'd hate to work in a hospital at the moment though, every hypochondriac with a cough or sneeze is going to be checkin in with Pig-Flu.
