My sister has it! :o

Problem is, my Mum has Lupus..

Swine Flu + Auto-immune disease = :(

I'm actually worried she'll be another one of these deaths we're told not to worry about because she had an underlying illness.

Sorry man, that must be worrying. I'm a little worried as the misses is 8 1/2 months pregnant so i really don't want her or the baby when it's born catching it as i'm worried it could cause problems for it.

Then how does he know its swine flu?

Because there's very little seasonal flu around int he summer...

A cold is different to the flu.

About as long as the normal flu, maybe even less. Most people have been over it in about a week.

Don't suggest that someone has a cold when they have the flu, at least not to their face...

Yeah, most people seem to take about a week or slightly longer, with a couple of days feeling slightly ill, a few days feeling properly ill and the rest recovering/not going out around because they're infectious.

Games and Stuff.

If you can read this, you're too close.

This. Most pharmacuetical drugs have a detrimental effect on the body.

Spot on. It's a strawberry floatin load of shite all this panic. You've gotta be thinking what exacty is in this Tamiflu stuff and why do they think it's so necessary to take it.

I'd go further into to this but i'd get accused of being 'too far out'.

I had the opposite problem last night/this morning. My girlfriend went to bed early complaining she felt tired and had a sore throat. I suggest it might be flu and was told I was being stupid and it's only a cold. :D

Well I'd guess that certain people have holdings in the company that makes Tamiflu and it's in their interests to sell as much as possible.

I had a proper sore head yesterday. Then was up all night feeling yucky in general with a proper sore throat which I still have.

Am I going to die?

The call centre was overloaded and the web site crashed, most of those probably being false claims. This is what you get for trusting the public to act responsibly. I was sort of hoping people would prove me wrong, but no of course not, they inevitably let themselves down. :fp: Who thought this was actually a good idea? They must be wonderfully naive.

I'm looking to start a sweep stake at work for the first person to go down with it. First one down gets the pot. I won't start it until I know someone outside of work who has it then go around and visit them. Easy money.

Unless i die.

But on the bright side I don't have life insurance so the winnings will help my family out. On the down side I work in a small office so the money will only be enough to buy a small wreath that says DADD . My wife will have to pay for the Y herself.

I would just put all your money on the person who swings the lead the most in your work. The fact that you are being asked to quarantine yourself and that you now don't have to see a doctor to get tamiflu means its open to abuse. There is always one person at every place of work who 'happens' to come down with whatever is doing the rounds at that time.
