Should give Intelligent Systems the Mario Kart franchise again. I maintain they are still the best studio not called EAD Tokyo in the world.

They did Super Circuit?

Yeah I might be interested in a Kart game they developed...it'd have to be a pretty long way from where its been since SC though.

EDIT - Though seeing as they are making Paper Mario I think thats probably a better use of their time. Between PM, Wars, Fire Emblem and WarioWare I think they probably have enough on their plates already.

I'd also love to see them make another 2D Metroid. They programmed Super Metroid(still the best) after all.

I just want another 2D Metroid, although I wouldn't mind a new one on 3DS using the Other M engine.

What was wrong with the engine? Use that and have it strictly in 2D.

Shigeru Miyamoto has said that Super Mario 3DS will make use of the handheld's gyro-sensor, seemingly to move the camera around in the absence of a second circle pad.

"Sometimes people ask why the 3DS isn't double stick," the Mario creator told The Telegraph. "One is normally used to control the camera, but having the gyro sensor you can replace the analogue stick by moving the console, which is very intuitive."

Miyamoto added that the company has no plans to offer StreetPass functionality with the game "unless a spectacular idea comes to mind".

He also talked up the effect 3D will have on gameplay, saying: "... With floating platforms it can be really difficult to judge the distance. But the depth in the 3D helps you evaluate those tricky jumps."

Sounds gooseberry fool. Why not use the face buttons like the old N64 C-buttons and the shoulder buttons for jump/action?

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

Almost worthless if you live in an area where there's barely anyone to StreetPass with. I've only had 2 since launch. The ten coin limit is stupid too.

How can I play Mario on the train if I have to move the bloody console around to change the camera angle? :x

It is a ludicrous idea but it can't just be the only camera control method, can it?

This. But substitue "train" with "bus".

And wrecks the 3D, which is very mental. :fp:

I bet you'll be able to use the bottom screen for camera control too.

I hope it's a fixed view.
