Me and my friends (up until recently) played it every weekend for the last 14 years. It's still as brilliant as ever.

It's the Mario Kart that gives me the fondest single and multiplayer memories.

I played it last year when I set up the N64 for a night of retro multiplayer and I agree. It's still great. Perfect Dark on the other hand. Felt as if we were playing with extreme lag. :(

And what about F Zero X, Excitebike, 1080 Snowboarding and Wave Race?

Weren't all of those made in-house on the N64?

Even the iterations on the GC were great - Blue Storm is still absolutely fantastic.

Excitebike 64 was good...developed by Left Field Productions.

The others are over-rated.

You keep using that word. I don't think it means what you think it means.

Nintendo INVENTED the kart racer. INVENTED. But of course, they are rubbish at racers....

They did that last year too, when they announced the 3DS in March.

Miyamoto has said in an interview with French journalists that he will "promise to do everything to deliver your new Mario this year!" when asked about Super Mario 3DS.

Super Mario 3D + Mario Kart 3DS to headline Nintendo's Christmas lineup? :o

'New Mario' is bound to be something unrelated. Bound to be. :x

Or maybe Paper Mario, which is slightly less :x-some

Paper Mario, Mario Kart and Mario 3D?

Never going to happen.

I just want Paper Mario to be this year. 3D will be good for 2012 and Kart can strawberry float right off.
