Is there an easy way to tell which levels you've completed with Mario or Luigi? I know the flag at the end of each level shows an M or an L but that's not very helpful.

On the bottom of the top screen when you are on standing at the level you should see a gold flag, an M and an L if you've done it with both and got the gold flag.

I've never played it on gba. Though I still rank Super Mario World (SNES) above 3D Land. But it's damn close.

It's certainly one of the best Mario games I've played, spot on for the 3DS and some of the levels are just perfect in design. As a great man once said, do you really want to spend 100 hours on a platformer? ;)

Just finished my second complete playthrough and finished with the 5 shiny stars on my save file.

Ah, that's better.

 I did that on one single level. The vast majority of them were lost when I got to the "I don't care i'll just run as fast as I can and hope for the best" stage.

Thank goodness for that.

I never understood why all the GBA Mario games need to have the Mario Bros. game as an extra.

And I could understand the minigames added to Super Mario 64 DS, most of them used the touch screen, which made sense 'cause it was a launch game and the minigames showed off the capabilities of the DS. But why a lot of the exact same minigames were included in New Super Mario Bros. is beyond me.

Actual game content (> x 1000000) minigames.
