Not falling for the "I'm going to get this and finally get really good at Street Fighter" trap again.

It's exclusive to the Intellivision Amico.

Roughly translates to "we aren't sure if we can bothered with a Switch version"

I don’t think this will be PS exclusive as Capcom have gone ahead and announced it themselves with no mention of exclusivity. Question is will be a next gen only release or cross gen.

I'll wait for the later edition that actually has all the content.

Same. I think we've finally learnt that lesson.

I just hope the game looks more like sf4 than sf5.

Sf5 has a horrible art style and super limiting system mechanics.

This is a bit like waiting till the end of a football season then watching all the matches at one

SF5 had 5 years of support with zero 'editions' my launch version still works and I've only bought like 2 characters.

Did you quote the wrong post there, or I am I completely misunderstanding what's going on?

The teaser looked a bit joyless. Part of the appeal of Street Fighter is that it's fundamentally a bit silly. To be fair, though, I guess all they wanted to communicate was "there will be SF6".

Third Strike was the best Street Fighter.

I bought a £150 fight stick for SFIV and bought SFV on launch for full price.

But this time... this time I'll get good.

This is where we differ. I've been there too many times and I'm too old to spend anymore time trying.

MK11 was the last fighting game I told myself I'd get good at. And I really did start getting good at it. Winning more ranked matches than I was losing. But I'm too old for it now and Street Fighter is not for me anymore.

Yeah my bad, I meant to quote the posts about waiting for the 'super' edition.

I feel this too. I got really good at SF4. And at high level it stops being fun. No longer can you really have fun, you have to play like a robot or you lose. And when you're evenly matched with a player it can sometimes feel like mix ups decided who wins. SF6 desperately needs a more footsie based system that feels more analogue. That's one of the reasons I liked 4 so much

The problem with fighting games is the time investment is insane and the games are far too specialised. There's not much transferable skill between games. Getting good at shooters on the other hand is a better time investment to me because the skills are pretty transferable and it's a social experience.

Not only that but anolgue combat experiences are far more interesting than digital ones to me, and I feel like Fighting Games often fall into the digital camp because they have a lot of "this happened, so now this happens".

Looks like it has some kind of open world adventure mode!
