I cant post a link as Im on my Wii but NGamer just tweeted theyve heard from a reliable source Sonic will be a secretly playable character in SMG2.

They should just let Nintendo make 3D Sonic platformers and get the old Sonic team to work on the 2D games.

That's better odds than Twilight Princess becoming a Wii title!
It would be pretty amusing, but Sonic doesn't play anything like Mario and Miyamoto seems like the kind of guy who would only put Sonic in if they could make him play right.

How would that even work?
Perhaps like Luigi. Sonic handles the levels differently? For example completing the levels as sonic could be about how fast you could do it rather than the actual platforming.

Not *that* unlikely, surely? Especially considering the relative success of the Mario and Sonic/Olympic series...
