Not that there's anything wrong with that.

OH MY GOD.

SEVERAL MAJOR AMERICAN COMEDIES MIGHT BE VERY SIMILAR, EVEN COMPARABLE, IN TERMS OF QUALITY.

ONE BEING GOOD DOESN'T MAKE THE REST gooseberry fool.

Best US comedy show. Ever. (apart from Frasier)

I watched that episode yesterday!

And, yes, far superior to Friends and I'm only just starting to watch Seinfeld.

Scrubs is OK at times when there's no message, no quaint insecure inner monologues and Janitor, Kelso & Cox not being utterly repulsive individuals. There's some decent gags when you look past all that.

I quite like Malcolm, too. I prefer it to Scrubs I'd say.

I expect Seinfeld doesn't get shown because of what one of the actors did. Don't remember which one.

The one who isn't hilariously rich, the one that doesn't have a TV show, and the one that wasn't George.

But no that really isn't the reason.

Hang on, no I mixed it up with something else. I thought there was one of the characters who said something quite racist once in real life. Wasn't to do with anyone from Seinfeld though.

Anyway, I've not seen it. Friends was always on because the women in my family loved it, so I just watched that instead.

thousand yard stare wrote:Larry David is George Costanza without any of George's meagre charm

There's this great joke in an early season where Jerry Alexander basically hates on the George character, while Larry obviously looks annoyed because David based pretty much all of George on himself.

and every episode is exactly the same - there's been a misunderstanding, so Larry gets into a pointless argument with a stranger, and because the whole thing is unscripted and spontaneous, more often than not the dialogue substitutes swearing for wit. I know I'm in the minority here but I don't care, Curb sucks.

More often than not it isn't Larry's fault, which while tiresome after a few years, has given many funny scenes and many funny episodes.

The first season is a bit of a :| fest though, I certainly wasn't keen on it to begin with.
