Interestingly, I remember reading an article years ago comparing Friends to Frasier, and one of the big facts they centred on was the predominantly gay writing staff of Frasier.

My first guess is that you saw a bit of it once and imagine it's a family sitcom as opposed to a sitcom about a family, and one which proved itself to be hilarious over the years.

Just making sure people dislike it for the right reasons, that the humour doesn't appeal to you. Personally I love it.

Me too. And I can't believe there's no DVDs of it yet. Well, except for season 1.

Quite a few of the cast were gay too. Hyde-Pierce obviously, but also Bulldog, Gil, and supposedly John Mahoney.

It does at least have a fairly caustic edge to most of it's wit.

It's on The Frasier Cha Comedy Central quite often.

David Hyde-Pierce is gay? I suppose I can see that.

But Bulldog? His character comes across as a bit 'trying too hard to act straight' but I'd have never thought the actor was.

I heard it was due to music rights, made it really expensive.

I did this by severing my real arms and replacing them with super-human cyborg arms.

What the hell is with all the Scrubs hate? I can understand some of you preferring the other shows, but saying its gooseberry fool is a bit too far. I enjoy it more than Friends, although that's mainly because laugh tracks do my head in.

Right reflect time, based on the current poll standings I have no problems!

I have watched Fraiser, and was aware of it's greatness, but it's just one of those shows I have watched the odd episode and never really got into it.

:fp: at those who wasted their votes on the pitiful scrubs!

I was aware this thread would bring up some strong feelings for some, and some of the responses have been quite intriguing.

Series 1-4 were pretty good, then it just went downhill FAST, and before you say, yes I have seen all the episodes, even the average "finale"

It seems to be turning into the Sarah "I cant do funny stuff" Silverman channel to me.
