When David went to the grave I had a feeling that either Jolly or Nurse Ketchington's son would be the blackmailer. Didn't guess it would be the same person though. Hopefully the ending indicates that a second series is on it's way.

10 seconds was plenty of time to get out of that room but I agree Lomax and Jelly might have had some trouble.

We only saw the explosion from outside of the building. For all we know everyone bar Jolly could have escaped.

Get out of the room, yes. Get away from the explosion? I'd say no.

I'd wager anyone who got out the room survived.

If the nurse could survive the fire then the characters could survive the bomb. It's TV, after all. But I hope the next series has mostly new characters, Pemberton and Shearsmith have shown that they can think up and portray a seemingly endless number of awesome characters

I think a new series is assured. The BBC have nothing else near to this quality of writing and performance in their comedy lineup and there will always be a queue of seasoned actors - like Dawn French - waiting to get a cameo on a show like Psychoville. I expect some great things from the next series. 8-)

Problem might be ratings, seemed to be getting less than a million for some episodes.

I enjoyed the ending bar from the locket suddenly appearing. Unless there is a sequel to explain why the locket is so important, it felt a bit last minute

Aye, I'd imagine that's the set-up for the sequel.

I don't understand why the ratings went down and not up. Are people stupid? :|

I think it is a bit of a risk to end it like that though, what if BBC don't want series 2, that last bit just annoyed me. It's the only part of the series I don't like apart from Robert's story being a bit weak.

Ratings according to wikipedia:

1.73 million
1.29 million
1.30 million
1.41 million
1.31 million
1.08 million
TBC

Those aren't that terrible for BBC2 but with the recession who knows?

If the BBC don't want the second series surely another channel will snap it up. I mean it's miles better than anything 5 have ever had. Pretty sure it won't come to that though.
