Line check please. I've been fairly aggressive due to a good run of cards in this sng but none have gone to showdown so my image may be poor. Villain is loose and has infinite aggression on the flop and river over a small sample which is why I checked looking for him to bet worse hands for value.

CB the flop seriously it stops you getting into this mess you're reason makes no sense as you're in position. I'd be tempted to fold pre aswell I'f I'm honest.

I don't like that check on the flop at all - you end up risking your whole stack because you want him to make a mistake - but if hes going to be a mistake its going to be a relatively small value one, where as you may have ended up making a colossal one in return.

I always get mighty supicious when a real aggressive player checks a flop when they have shown such aggression - I would want to bet to see how strong their hand likely is.

EDIT - If we're guessing, I'm gonna guess a set of some kind.

I don't think checking and still being willing to call all-in on a lot of cards, doesn't really make much sense unless you think he's an epic bluffer. C-bet the flop, or fold pre, IMO.

@Sykes

Pretty much agree with what everyone else has said so far as while he might well be making a huge bluff the river card completes both a flush and straight draw and he could have been ahead before this. As DML said if he has been aggressive on the flop on most occassions and then isn't that is a bit of a worry though it could also be down to your table image or wanting to see a card for cheap. Even if you do check the flop I'm not sure why you would then flat call the turn especially when so much could come that gives you a much bigger decision to make on the river.

I haven't played properly in ages though.

Southampton Central having some sort of major works tomorrow. Buses ahoy.

:fp:

Honestly - that city should be embarrassed by that station, its the worst station in Britain. Something ALWAYS goes wrong with it.

I don't know whether to drive now. Its relatively cheap to use the train, but I am not a fan of coach replacement services, especially as I have to change somewhere I've never heard of.

Its just a case where to park if I do drive in. Gah!

There's usually parking near the house if not then there's parking in the city centre which is relatively close to the train station.

Yeah, I'm just worried it'd get real pricey real quick, and I have utterly no idea about the area you guys are in.

I'm sure I someone won't let the air out of your tires or anything. It's a studenty area so unless you're driving the Pompey-mobile it'll be fine.

It's the stabbers you've got to watch out for round here.

Can someone PM me the address, postcode, and time that we are meeting so I can sort my route out. I'll be driving down and taking a gamble with the tyre stabbers.

I don't know what time people are meeting Sat you'll have to chat with Ben and Ben about that but I can still send you details if you need em.

I look out of the window now and I see 4 spaces within 50 yards of our house. No permit required. This is pretty standard as 75% of this road is students!

I think the game will be on at 1, although I may be wrong. I would suggest, then, that we all arrive at 12 o'clock and walk up as soon as possible. It's about a half an hour walk but I reckon we should walk. Might be nice.

Scrap that, the tourney director said it starts at 2. So we need to arrive for 1.30 if we can. They have TVs for football, so all good. Still, I'd try and get here for about 12:30, and we can leave at 1.
