Well that just caps off a rotten day nicely. I play a FPP satellite to go to the Sunday 200k, get into last three, one guy calls all in with K5, I call with JJ, and he hits 2 5s on the flop.
What is wrong with my luck at the moment?

It all comes back around Nova. You tend to remember the bad beats more than the times you suck out. Once you suck out you just forget it and assume it was fine you know? There is also the fact that if you are good you are moe likely to get money in ahead. When you are ahead and win you might somehow take this for granted and think that since you were you "deserve" the whole pot. You don't though, if they had any outs that is. Everytime you win and are ahead you are still somewhat "lucky" but you count these as though you deserved to win always you know?
I am sure things will change eventually, remember the start? You ran pretty damn good!
I've been running pretty sweet lately too. I have £1119 of my roll in my bank and the rest in $$ in my account. It was like $400 last month but just now after some more success in $22 SNG I have $1016.88. 1k in both currencies is quite nice.

Very nice Rex! My mistake was taking money out, which has now been spent
I'll just restart, it's all good. You are right, I've just noticed some pretty harsh beats recently, that's all.

What the actual feck?
I've taken almost all of my pokerstars money out for now, I'll just play lowest stakes. I need the money for uni, plus whether it sounds bitter or not, I'm getting sucked out far more often than I'm sucking out, I'm sure.

Why not get camtasia and film you playing some SnG. Upload them and we can take a look. I've been doing great at the $22 games. Last night I won 3 out of 6 and bubbled one of the non cashes. Looking at your graph now something has to be up as well. I don't think you can attibute all of that to variance. I still think you moved up levels rather quickly. Play the lower stakes and get some vids then move up only when your roll says you can do so.
I take roll management so seriously and it seems to pay off. I have enough moneys to play $88 SnG games but I am playing $22 because it seems right for me just now. I'm in no hurry to move up and get destroyed!
Here's my graph anyway. Pretty chuffed with recent play!

Beautiful Rex! I'm sorting it now - if you take money out does it affect the graph?
I'm starting literally at the bottom now, for fun. Got a uni poker soc night tonight, can't wait!

Thats not a very good 'all in' there Rich.
A bit of reading on the Gap Concept would do you good I reckon.

No. Sharkscope is nothing to do with any poker site. They just track every sit and go and the results. They cannot possibly know how much money you have in there. I have more than $500 for example.
Also I don't think it's the worst push ever DML. You might question it since the guy has raised but Nova was the one in the game so you would think he knows something about the calling ranges of the guy. I don't know if you were aware that it was a SnG either and he was shortstacked with like 5 BB.

TYVM. That's why you don't limp AQ.
Running pretty well right now. Knew he was likely to stick it in based on previous play.
Also managed to get away from this and lost the minimum really.
Something just felt a bit iffy.

Mind you, I just do not rate A,7 - its got to be a pretty rubbish situation to push with that, theres no straight potential whatsoever, I'd almost prefer to be looking at A,2 in my hand!

He is all in preflop.
Good work Drum.

I mean to launch into the all-in. I'm not saying Id rather have the A2 over the A7 in that particular head to head.

Well given the situation Nova can do this with any Ace. He isn't looking to make a straight, he is looking to win with high card. Also with A7 he can flip vs 66- whereas A2 is doomed all in here.

Roll is $170.72. Only popped on for an hour to show my friends what the Stars software was like. Most of my big hands missed too, think I could have doubled my profit if it'd gone as well as usual.

Exactly.
I played in the uni poker soc thing tonight. For my first time out, I played it really well, but lost a lot of chips to a flush (I had a straight), and when I went all in with K10, I was called by K6 and the caller got a 6 as the first card on the flop
Came 25th out of 140, so happy with that for a first outing. Providing I don't get unlucky like that again I think I could make some money there.

Do this. Also record running commentary with your thoughts etc.

Played four $5 SnG tournaments today. Came 2nd in three of them and 4th in the other (I went out with KK vs AA).
So overall that's about $19 profit for those, which makes up for the small losing streak I had yesterday

I'll play a 3$ tourney on FT today and record it.
