I don't think you can really pick a person in particular to have a good series, it's like guessing the lottery numbers with the amount of randomness involved. I'm sure we will see the same sorts of names going deep but who knows what will happen. Probably more likely than not to be a final table without a well known pro though.
Yeah I understand that. It's not really intended to be a proper prediction type thing but more a bit of fun, mainly because of the randomness as you say, it is essentially very
unpredictable. Someone could easily have a Jamie Gold style run good all the way to winning the ME.

"djk123" is Daniel Kelly, the guy I mentioned in my post.
I also think if Mikey can get past the first couple of days he has a shot. He certainly knows how to play this tournament and not many players can match his numerous deep runs over the last decade.
6th in 2001, top 200 in 2004, 9th in 2005, 30th in 2008.
Only Ivey has really bettered that.

Going pretty badly for me today, but now I'm deep in the $3 rebuy event. Was dwindling and had literally just folded TT on the turn on a K high board when I got this hand:
72/364 now

That's unlucky.
Very quiet in here recently. Nobody playing? Anything to report? Bankroll updates?

I managed to get up to $150 the day before yesterday after going on a bit of a sick run. Back down to around $135 after being card dead most of yesterday.

Its set up perfectly for 'last day syndrome' again.
I'm the Venue Champion in my pub with one game to go, for the fourth time in a row. What inevitable turn of fate will donk me this time and cost me yet again on the last day of the season?
Last time it was A-SIX vs A-TEN hitting a six on the river by some dribbling fool.
I'm bloody determined to win one of these things!

I haven't played much recently. Just taking a short break to let the run bad wear off, plus I also have exams.
