Welcome to William Hill Poker’s BIG FREEZE event where a share £20,000 Guaranteed is at stake for our Main Event players.

The buy-in to the Main Event is just £50 + £5, which is fantastic value considering the size of the prize awaiting you, and takes place on 29th December at 20:00 (UK).

However, the Big Freeze will spread its frost throughout the William Hill Poker Room during December with plenty of Free satellites and tiny buy-ins along the way!

Tournaments are going so so.

I guess it's good that I'm still in them both. I have 4k in the rebuy (after paying for 5k). Been very card dead. As I type that I pick up aces and move up to 10k. :D

In the freezeout I have picked up quite a few hands but I can't seem to hit a flop. I ended up calling an all in for all of my stack with AQhh and the guy flipped over AJ, so I doubled to 2k there. This was immediately after laying down AJ pre-flop flop when deuces got it in with AQ.

Oh a few hands later I pick up 88 in the rebuy. 854 flop. Turn the boat with a 4 and take 5k off the guy to my right. Currently sitting on 15k. Freezeout is still going pretty poorly though.

I normally wouldn't raise A8d from that position but the blinds were really getting big quickly so I didn't want to sit back and wait for AA, I wanted to be agressive and build up a stack so I was occasionally playing those sorts of hands and if I'm going to play it then I'm going to raise rather than limp. Once I had raised with A8 then the reraise was so small that I couldn't really fold.

Just back from the third break in the rebuy and get AA on the button. Three limpers as it folds around to me (blind is 1200) and I push with my final 12k. The tournament leader called with K9 and I move up to 30k. :D

Edit: Made the money in the rebuy. 100 left, in 56th with just over 30k.

Edit 2: Blinds are 2000/4000 now. I get 99 in the cut off and someone limps from middle position. I get my chips in instantly and the limper calls off 50% of their stack with 66. My hand holds up and I'm up to 58k.

Well, William Hill just gave me £6 for free, so I'm just using it to play the Satelleite, which has huge value added  tygg

Gone now. Had to go with A3 and the BB is lurking with AK. Ah well, small profit for the day, and I still have this satellite to play!

gg Drummy.

Out of Last chance now :( Overplayed AK. Raised hugely to get rid of limpers, but small blind came along (had played every hand so far). He instashoves on 622 flop, so I think he could be light. He has JJ. FML.

Well well well. My $10 SnG career has started funny. After getting my stack up to $4500, I lose with AA vs QQ, AT vs A9 and then lose with my short stack with 66 vs AK :x

Well done for qualifying, Drummy :D .

I'm playing that 2R1A 5$ tourney I won in the summer - it's major donkaments. I almost folded a straight on the river though :P Until I realised I had it! Two people had bet, I shoved and one guy calls with just top pair

EDIT - Oh my god, this is the most boring experience of my life. I haven't had any suited connectors, pairs or even two high cards for about 2 hours now  I'm going to burst the bubble, but I have to fold my best hand of the last 40 minutes (A2o) because I'm UTG :P

First playable hand - I land TPTK and he turns a straight :? Down to basically 5BB.

EDIT - Wow, multiple posts or what!

Anyway, went out just after cash. My best hand of forever comes (88), so I shove, called by AK and beat. Still, roll up to $427, so s'all good.

:fp:

I decide to play a stupid 1c 990 man SnG for the lulz. I get pocket Aces twice, Kings once, Queens once, AK twice and I make four boats. I finish 5th and win 50c.

Why can't I run like that normally?

You know that because you've gotten all these good hands at once, you'll be running deader than a morgue for about a month. :P
