I'm on fire
I don't normally play KT there but I hadn't been playing many hands so I thought it was worth a punt at the blinds.
Oh yeah, I know I played that first hand in my last post really bad. I was just in the moment and at the time and against that guy it seemed right to just keep calling his bluffs. But normally I'd bet the flop (or check raise).

Why did you call the raise?

It was a fairly small raise, I figured as I'd put 0.40 in already it wasn't worth folding for 0.60 more. Plus I had position.

I wouldn't normally call the reraise there, because you're hand could so easily get you into trouble if you hit, but I guess you managed to get a lucky flop, which was good.
Just incidentally, I'd have bet that flop, even though you had a straight. Think about what sort of cards he'd reraise with and you'll probably realise he'd call/raise there, and you'd build the pot early.

I don't know the specifics..but in general if you open an account with one poker site you'll never get rakeback with them ever..possibly with another site on the network you'll be ok. Means I can never get full tilt rakeback as I didn't know about it when I started playing

$1000 GET!
I really wish I'd recorded that session, I ran pretty well but made some really observant plays, making me +$75 ish up in 90 minutes
$25NL is the limit for me, I'm playing really nicely at that level atm.

Then no. You want to set mine if you are calling < 10% of your stack and they have you covered because you make your set like 10% of the time. Even then though you don't stack them. The fact that you say you will not put anymore money if unless a two comes means you should deffo be folding pre. Why can 22 now be a winning hand? Why can he not just have two over cards? You have to have a plan when you play which means not folding postflop without a 2 a certain %. You need to remember you are OOP here. So you are telling me you check fold any flop that doesn't have a 2 in it? If I am playing against you then I 3bet you hard since I know you call with so much of your range now and then cbet 100% of flops. You're basically giving them money by calling with that mentality.
Note I am not saying folding 22 is bad postflop. In many situations he may have you beaten and at these stakes perhaps more so but if you are not confident playing 22 for some sort of showdown value or check raising etc then you definitely need to fold it preflop OOP. Remember when you are OOP with a hand and someone raises you, you need to fold or 4bet almost always.
http://www.warwickpoker.com/forums/topi ... picid=4009Read this topic, reminded me of your hand a little despite him being in position and there being two others involved.

God I hate low stakes games sometimes. I'm playing much better and have been up for the last couple of sessions but that last one I was up by over $5 then ran into these two hands:
He had been playing loose all day so I hadn't put him on the flush.
The last one really annoyed me as he posted something gloating then left the table. He'd only been there for a few hands
Oh and another hand that I couldn't work out what anyone was one, I wasn't in it though:
Hey ho, I'm happy with everytime I have been in and that's what counts in the long run. Has anyone had a chance to look at my vid at all?

You got it in ahead! That's the important thing. In other news I made $10 so far today. First profit day all week. I am leaving it there.
Also sorry I forgot about your video completely. I will
watchdownload it now for you and watch it tomorrow probs. Do remind me if I don't post any response by then.

That's it, all of the hands I've lost in the last few days I've been happy with when I got my money in unlike when I was playing the other day and calling when I knew I shouldn't. Plus I am in a small profit in them overall. I've also gone back to playing just one table at a time which I'll probably stick with for a little while.

No worries, it will be good to get some advice. I'll probably make another one soon and try and stay more composed for it

Ouch...
I got it in ahead, I guess, I just hated to see that ace. Then the board just teased me
Earned $17.70 in 30 minutes but it should have been $70

Had a pretty annoying half-hour session just now.
Firstly AK < AJ, where I lose most of my stack. Then I stack someone with my set of nines. Then I hit a set of twos and get it in with a guy who has jacks, and he hits a jack to two-out me, leaving me down again after I'd just got up. I don't even play half as much as you guys and get so much of this.

I will put a halt to all this bitching with the folowing hand:
I would normally fold or raise pre-flop but I had only just sat at this table and didn't want to be making moves straight away, so it seemed ok to call with that hand.
The call on the turn instead of a reraise was because I wanted the other guy behind me to stay in, he had taken ages to call my $2 raise so I knew he would fold if I reraised again, he took ages to think about it but folded anyway. When I went all-in on the river I think the other guy put me on a failed flush draw, he insta-called.
The hand just before this was also pretty good:

Been 3-tabling $3 turbo S&Gs for the past couple of hours and my roll has now grown from $20 to $50. Could have been more, too - I came 2nd in my last 3 games. Had some pretty bad luck heads up. These games are super soft, though.

Excellent stuff, is that on Stars?
My roll has gone up $45 these last two days, but that's only from about 2hrs of poker as I've had tons of revision to do. I've also only been 2-tabling instead of 4, I'm not sure why I've been doing that but it's been working

On Stars, aye. Had to withdraw most of my bankroll due to being completely skint. But if I can keep anything like this sort of rate up, I'll be right back up there pretty soon. Still got my deposit bonus to clear, too. That 45 suited hand you posted is amazing btw
No idea what that guy was doing with QQ.

Considering I've only been playing $10NL cash games (my weak spot) I don't think that's too bad, plus it's more like $60 now.
