More info
5 Players per team, £40pp entry (£200 per team), 40,000 chips, 25/50 starting blinds, 25 mins starting clock.

This is usually a large event so payouts will be adjusted accordingly but is often a 1-3rd team payout. The last team event had 11 teams so this should give you an indication of prize money etc.

The structure is simple, the winner takes first prize and shares with team mates in any way they wish, same for second and so on. Basicly if you go out first one of your team players can still go on to win, this is a popular event and a great poker day.

Nominate a team captain and register your team a.s.a.p

So (assuming top 3 get paid) if we came 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, we would win all of the prize money? :shifty:

World Series of Poker (WSOP) tournament directors promised a bigger, better WSOP 2011 in an announcement made this week.

For the first time in the history of the WSOP, all 58 gold bracelet events will receive video coverage with a wide overshot angle of the table & its players & a flop camera providing the visual sightlines while the events announcer describes the betting action as it happens.

The WSOP television deal with ESPN is still a long-term contract that runs through 2017 with the addition of the same-day coverage & additional coverage from the main event in 2011.

"Obviously we can't produce every WSOP bracelet event live for television, but we are committed to providing a visual account of the action," said Ty Stewart , WSOP Executive Director.

"This online initiative will complement our spectacular television package on ESPN & deliver even more of this year's WSOP to fans who want the most immediate coverage possible."

Yup.

It doesn't look like I'm going to have time for any poker this weekend. I'm currently at work (yes, on a Saturday(!) doing overtime). Then I'm off to a party tonight, and tomorrow will be spent doing my NVQ work which I'm massively behind with. :fp: :x

Honestly - you need to come to my local. Right now it is at its most donkalicious EVER.

I took a cheeker tenner or two to a 2 quid rebuy to get out of the house - and then got dealt nothing above a nine for about five orbits. However, it was entertaining because I saw all the following.

 Someone saying 'I'll see your hand' for 25 quid on the river when all they had was Jack high.
 Someone needing to leave halfway through the tournament, and blind shoving eightY quids worth of chips every hand.
 Someone shoving their whole stack into my whole stack - and looking aghast his Q-7 couldn't beat my A-K - like he had been punched in the stomach.
 A 25BB shove in the blinds called by 5-2o - which then loses and again, they look like the world has pissed on his chips.
 Eyerolling and tutting every time the possible flush completes on the board - and every time they are telling the truth.
 Calling three all-ins for 22 quid with Q-8s - and winning....

WHY DON'T I HAVE ACTUAL MONEY TO TAKE THESE GUYS?!?

I'm currently 1st in a $2 Rebuy 2x-Turbo

Not quite reached the cash yet and with the nature of these blinds it could all go wrong in an instant, but looking good so far...

Update: 16/34 but it's predictably turned into a shove-fest so now it's all about running good...

Update: All-in pre 8-)

Update: Similar thing again  2/17 now

Yeah, the fact he was chipleader after busting me but then got knocked out next just shows how bad he was. I can't complain though, I ran good up until that point and got in as a big favourite.

Good luck with your game I still have it open while I watch tv.
