But you did play well, you just didn't get the results your play deserved. I saw, man.

We can figure it out when Nova gets back. I presume the HU MachineTM is up for the test process?

I'll be up for the HU Test even though I'm awful at HU. I think any day is fine for me.

Same thing happened to me last night in the $3 rebuy. It was close to the bubble and I was starting to get quite low on chips so I shoved with JJ and got called by 33, and they make a set on the flop :|

Sykes. I know you made a good call there, but why risk all of your chips with JJ? I value my stack so much at that stage after three hours to call it off with JJ, and can do serious damage with from the off on the final table. Just fold, give up your 1700, keep the rest of your 40k+, and wait for another spot. Seriously unlucky though.

I should probably posted the history for this. For the most part I'd been relatively tight up till about 20 minutes before that hand where the bubble was in effect and I'd starting raising most playable hands. For the most part I'd took it down pre or with a slightly less than half pot continuation bet. However, and this is the key point, roughly 3 times before this hand, the two guys in the blinds had 3 bet me off hands. My image is in the toilet at this point, as none of my raises look legitimate and should I fold here, I fully expect people to catch on if they already haven't. I'd be unable to steal for the rest of the tourney if I was unfortunate enough to stay in the same relative position to Johannes which is especially horrible for a LAGtard like me. Given the previous history, the fact he has me covered and the fact that it's the bubble where logic dictates I should be avoiding confrontation, it seems like a fair enough call to me.

If anybody want's some further discussion or inquisition into the workings of the hand, (Ie, do you want to call me a donk.) feel free to do so. I enjoy the debate and discussion almost as much as playing.

Afterwards he says "Sorry, I really thought I was ahead" :fp:

Just a few hands earlier I had AK and reraised pre and got a call and then a shot stack went all-in. Not wanting to reraise again and risk all my chips with AK I just call the short stacks all-in and the guy behind me also calls. Flop is XQJ and other guy shoves. I fold and it turns out he had put nearly half his stack in preflop with QTo :fp:

Me and Sykes both got a 2nd place finish in the $4.40 180mans tonight 8-)

The hand posted above was one of the strangest I've ever seen. The guy was agressive but I didn't expect him to have absolutely nothing when he called

My HU was pretty poor. For quite a long time we both had about the same amount of chips and neither of us were really getting anywhere. Then I made a few badly timed moves and lost a load of chips. Finally got it all-in with A9 vs Kx (I think) but it didn't hold.

If you didn't register for celeb poker 30% rakeback then you might still have time. The deadline says 12th and I don't know if this is inclusive. THERE IS NO REASON NOT TO DO THIS (unless you have rakeback on ipoker already of course) so go to the previous page and do it, even if you don't intend to play there.

Well played, guys. When my internet disconnected for the last time, I just couldn't be bothered with MSN again so I loaded up Stars and watched until I went to bed. Last I saw before closing it down Sat had lost a big chunk and had about 60k left.

I just made another 180man final table. I'm currently 1st out of 9 :D

Edit: So I came 2nd in the end 8-)
I really need to work on my HU. I did go into as the short stack and managed to get ahead but it seemed like everytime I made a bluff and put lots of chips in the pot he would call with bottom pair and win it. I couldn't just wait for good cards as I wasn't getting any so it was quite tough to play. In the end I decided to gamble with AQ thinking it was probably a coinflip but hoping he had AJ or AT, but he actually had AA and took it down.
