That was an awesome way to win

I had another good experience with the $10 18man tournaments. I just played two but cashed in both with a 4th and a 1st for $70 profit 8-)
Just playing a $5 rebuy at the moment and I have a healthy stack but it's still fairly early days.

How many people went out in the first hour of that rebuy?

I'm not sure, 2500 registered and I guess maybe 600 or 700 got knocked out in the first hour.
There's just under 800 left now.

Edit: And I'm out in 600th-ish. I raised from UTG with AQ and a donk that has been playing every hand and only winning 20% of showdowns decided to reraise. I just called and then the flop was pretty safe just low cards with no draws. The guy shoved and I thought about it for a while and figured he didn't have a pair and though maybe he had AT/AJ/KQ or something like that, so I called and he had AK :|.

I wasn't really feeling this tournament. The first hour or so was really boring and I didn't get to play many hands. Then I had a few moments where I managed to get some chips and then this last table was just full of agressive donks shoving with average hands even though they had 40BBs. The one time I call they actually have AK.

Yeah we used to play a matrix tournament on full tilt in a Sunday night with 7 or so attendees. This kinda slowed down though and since everyone started playing for cash the new "thing" is to play a 4.40 on stars. I am sure though if you request people will play with you.

Would it be possible to set up a similar thing on PS for play money/small stakes?

Would be great to have a GRcade meet-up where we could have a poker tournament. Real life poker is so much better than online.

PsychicSykes is the man to ask as he is the only person here with the relevant privileges to do so. The GRSOP is still in the planning stages.

How does everyone fancy a $4.40 on PokerStars at 7pm Sunday?

I'm not sure if I'll be around on Sunday as my parents are coming up for the day. There's a good chance they will be gone by 7pm though, so we'll see.

I also have the ability to create private games on Pokerstars so if anyone wants me to set one up I can do that.

Yeah but I'd lose my edge and DML would win. We were talking before about a possible meet up at a casino sometime.

Not in for stars game, going to continue grinding PLO, it's fun.
