I'm almost annoyed that I can't play in this now as I've been invited to the cinema tonight.

To join the Liv home game it says I need confirmation. Is this correct?

I'm running 10W 3L in HU NL Hold 'Em Turbo 6 dollar games.

And now, because of the run good, I'm more than rolled for them as well.

:o

EDIT - Make that 12W 3L!

They're massively easy mode! Keep grinding em! Get a huge sample and see how you stand then.

Just spoke to Nick, the organiser of the poker game in southampton.

He is updating the blind structure!

He is speeding up initial levels slightly and putting in between levels from 5k/10k onwards with antes.

He sends his thanks for the feedback guys. And appreciates anymore!

Game on!!

So... who is actually in for the team game? Do we actually have a team?

HU Record is now Twenty Wins/Ten Losses.

Not bad.

I have absolutely no idea if I could make that team game right now.

12 teams have confirmed entry.

12 x 5 = 60

60 x £40 = £2400 for the taking! That's £500 each!

23 to 17 losses now - I have been utterly strawberry floated by variance.

I lost three flips in a row, but the last three have been so sick. Got it all in with A-A blinds deep on a K-J-9 board, he calls with K-5 and turns a 5.

:fp:

I guess it'll even out again, but at the moment I'm hugely demoralised. To be ahead fourteen games over twenty HU to only being ahead seven game after forty is truely woeful. Heres to a better next twenty.

:(

To be completely a sample of games in the order of 20 is so shockingly small. You can't really talk too much about variance. I played something in the order of 1300 sit and gos and went from hugely above EV to massively under. You need to grind out thousands really to get a good idea.

DML, imagine your sample multiplied by one thousand, and you'd be considered a successful HU player!

23,000 wins to 17,000 losses would come out as a 57.5% long term win rate, which would be pretty damn good, I think. So yeah, keep it up ;).

Yeah I'll carry on.

Gonna get to one hundred see what my figures are like then. If I'm below I'll quit.

Right now at 32W 29L.

:fp:

The gap keeps shrinking! Its so irritating!

:x

My tactic of getting paid off a lot with an Ace just isn't working because I don't seem to be flopping any! Its very irritating. Tonight I've played some alright players, but earlier they were real weak and some horrible suckouts/coinflips didnt go my way.

I'm not sure if I need to tighten my range for re-raising, I figured anything A-10+, Sixes+ was worth a re-raise, does anyone think I need to tighten my range?

Also - I'm being very careful out of position, and raising like crazy on the button. Still not sure if its fully working really. I'm starting to doubt certain plays - think I need to focus on the fact that I'm still 'winning' right now - even if it doesnt feel like it right this second.

I don't think there's a hand I fold in position? Maybe the 2-3o!

What amount would you say you raise from the button? I raise most hands, but that sets up an aggro image which cause me to have to four-bet when maybe I shouldn't?
