Just had a good session, finished with $75 profit. It wold have been $100 but just as I was closing my tables I got it in on the turn with a pair of aces against a pair of jacks, and the river was one of the two jacks he needed.

Strange that MP and CO both limped and then re-raised. Normally that's a sign of strength and you see that quite often with aces. If I didn't have any reads I'd probably only be calling with QQ+ and AK

Yeah, was going to say this also, but I see it way more often in tournaments. I think I would fold AK here, but probably call with QQ+.

I've seen it quite a few times at the cash tables and usually it's a good player and they only have AA or KK, occasionally though a bad player will also do it out of frustration and they could have anything. When two players do it you've got to think at least one of them is very strong but maybe they both have medium pocket pairs?

Interesting that you would fold AK but call with QQ. With AK we are only worried about AA and KK but if they have either of those then QQ isn't in good shape either.

We all agree that we're not worried about the second limp raiser though, I hope. So the real question is how often is the first guys raise weighted towards monsters, medium pairs and bluffs. I'm not too good at this hence why I posted the hand.

Team came second. So close but so far. We didnt win a single all in, it cost us in the end. 1 or 2 holdand we win for sure, very unlucky.

I didn't realise that UTG was first to raise and MP initially just called, that changes things slightly and confuses me. If UTG had folded and MP limped then re-raised he almost always has a monster. As played I can't really be sure what he's doing but would guess at a medium pocket pair.

Yeah they didn't limp. One of them has TT and the other has 55 and their both strawberry floating retards. Just call with everything basically.

I thought for a bit, sure that the first guy had AA but then I figured there was enough in the pot to compensate for the times I ran into the bullets. Called with KK and was shown AA and KQs fwiw.

(Rex, not everyone is a retard at 10NL anymore, I think there's a decent enough percentage who are annoying enough not to want at your table.)

Still getting pwned in the face at 10NL today. Help?

Unlucky :(

I played a short cash session this evening just 4-tabling while watching TV and there was a player so bad that I instantly closed all of my tables and joined every table he was on. If you raised him he'd 3bet you with anything, then if you shoved he'd call. So I got it all-in pre four times against him as a big favourite each time with things like QQ v 56o, and AK v Q4s but I lost three of them and won one. Then he left. :x

Do I get raged at if I propose move up where they respect your raises? >___>

Perhaps there are good players at 10nl, I just wind you up a bit. Obv you never fold KK anyway, one of them clearly is a retard, note that but just note that the guy flat-shoved AA pre and move on. Next time you can fold JJ etc. AA guy is still a retard for flatting AA when everyone and his mum is going to flat as well after him. I guess 10nl is about who can be the least retarded? ;)

Perhaps I should force myself to play 30k hands 10nl this summer? Prob bets on my BB/100?

My partner's laptop has been sent away for repair so i'm not online as much as I would like to be.

Played a bit of cash .10-25 last night against someone sat with just $10 he reloaded about 5 times then left

Also couldnt find 1/4 mil garunteed has that been replaced with Sunday storm I think it was called?

I'm assuming due to Black Friday they just arent pulling the numbers?

They renamed all the Sunday tournaments and I think they've changed the times too.
I don't think the numbers are down too much since Black Friday, the Million is still there and the Storm has a $200k guarantee so isn't much different from the 1/4 Million.

Get your own laptop/PC.

Good to see you back though. You going to play the GRSOP in October?

Ha it's cool, just letting you know as I doubt 10NL is your game much so it the insight helps. It'd be like me advising you on $55 tournies otherwise.

I nearly did fold KK but anyway, I just thought it was an interesting hand and I'd like to see more discussion of strategy in the thread. If it's a game of who can be the least retarded I'm slightly worried given that I'm losing.

And if you want to go for 30k at 10NL be my guest, but I'm not sure soul destroying grinding is good for you.
