Just went out of an 11$ tourney in spectacular fashion

Had AQ and shove preflop (Still have 1.8k from 3k starting stack, blinds low), wanted it to look like a bluff. Don't know why.

Anyway, another guy who had limped preflop tanked for AGES, before calling with J6

Flop? Only J86 of course

40c to $11.79 in 3 weeks. All funded by my flatmate as well.

Roll is down to £502. Played some limit 7 card stud high and it didn't go too well lol. So roughly $800. I deserve a good run at hold em. I might play a tourney on two soon just for a change from cash.

Yesterday I did something that seemed very odd. I went to a cash machine. Ever since my cash in the casino in March?? I have never had to go since I have been living off the winnings and paying for many things electronically. All gone now but nice to have to not withdraw anything for a couple months!

I've often thought about playing online for real money.
Will I get annhilated? Or is it quite a steady way to make cash?

I wouldn't say it's steady. You certainly have to put in time to win, it's a definite learning process. But money can certainly be made

It can be a bit boring beginning because the best way to play is with very few hands. Basically just a case of waiting for the goods and letting the morons pay you off. If there's anything that you need help with just ask, we're a very friendly bunch.

Gah, busted out 140th/3200 in the 5$ tourney on PS. Lost with AQ vs JQ (river Jack). Little painful, but I had to go in. Surprised he called but he was getting right odds if he was 40%, which he may have thought he was. Cashed just $20 though, gonna play more expensive tournies to make them viable really.

Decided to have a bash at these jackpot sit and go tables. Winning is bloody hard but 6 top two places doesn't seem impossible at 6 max tables for a $300 prize.

Busto in my first one though. AK vs AQ all in pre. Q on flop obv.

Assuming everyone at the table was of equal skill (and that my math is correct) then the chance of coming top 2 in 6 consecutive games is 1 in 729. The odds of coming 1st in 6 consecutive games is 1 in 46,656.

Obviously if you can play well then you can expect to reach top 2 more often than that, but I think it's one of those things that sounds much easier to do than it actually is.
