After a great start to the month I've had a terrible ending. My play has remained pretty good but every big hand, miracle cards are found. I've been rivered three times by pocket pairs hitting a set recently whilst all in. :fp:

Way down to $780.

I don't think I will be playing tomorrow so I'll post my monthly results. It started off well when I won $1000 on New Years Day for coming 2nd in a $20 HU tournament, but then I seemed to run really bad at the SNGs but as I ran good at them last month overall it's not a big deal.

I carried on playing the SNGs for a bit but I continued to run below EV or break even, so I switched back to the MTTs. I had a few more good results such as 8/6950 in a $11 MTT for $800 and 9/4542 for $500 but the biggest cash of the month was coming 5/4814 in a $11 Turbo MTT for $2050. I'm very happy to have made 3 final tables this month in fields of 4500+ players :D 8-)

Overall profit for the month was $2574 but I was $200 below EV and had I not played SNGs I would have been another $200 or $300 better off. Still a great month, but I didn't play as much as I wanted these last couple of weeks. Halfway through the month I was on target to reach Goldstar on Stars but I was still there a week ago and so gave up trying for that. I think the SNGs were what got me points quickly at the start of the month and I've went off those near the end.

My graph is quite interesting. The first downward trend was the SNGs where I was playing bad and running worse. The 2nd half of the graph is mostly MTTs and as the variance is higher I think it's normal for it to go down like that with the occasional big win making up for those losses.

Not playing anymore this month. Haven't played most of the week tbh, too busy.

http://img132.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=jan10.jpg

+$1450 winnings
+$586 rakeback
+$200 bonus

+$2236

EV however runs well below this with winnings being like -$24 so I should be looking at a $700 month in the long run.

Probably not playing much in Feb. I might manage 100 games or so.

It's the final game of the season at pub poker tonight. I'm pretty nervous! All I need to do is beat one of the two people around me and I'll make it to the regional final. Leaving in about 45 mins - wish me luck!

EDIT - Well I didn't need your luck anyway, you bastards ;).

The guy in third came first but I managed second place so it's all good! Off to the finals I shall go.

Started FT w/ RB this month on $6. Managed to boost it through the roof

Image

$250 winnings
$50 Bonus
$20 Rakeback

This isn't including $100 Dollars worth of profit in PS too. Micro stakes is a slow grind but now moving up on to low stakes :)

Decent months for everybody by the looks of it!

It can only calculate EV for single-table SNGs.

That's cool, as that's what I've mostly played with just the odd 4.40 thrown in. 8-)

First league game tonight, didn't get off to a great start, and it only got worse really! Eventually when five handed on my table, I misjudged someone when they made a big old raise - I shoved massive with A-Q and they called with Eights. On the end, I needed any Ace, any King, any Queen, any Ten, any Heart.

So the two of clubs it was...

 :fp:

I'll do better, but short handed tables are much harder to judge. I don't know if that shove was good, I feel it was a bit strong - but five handed I thought I'd be good even if he called, I must admit because of the size of the raise I didnt have him on a pair.

20th in 2 4.40's, both ending when I reshoved onto someone with an average Ace, they call with KJ and hit the King. Bleh.

Ul man. I had TT cracked by 22 (went on to hit quads) and 88 busted by 55 both on the bubble in a major Cada style beatdown, meaning that I ended the day with -$30 when EV said I should have $30

It's just going from bad to worse for me at the moment. I just can't seem to win the big important hands even when I'm in as a massive favourite. Bankroll has shrunk from $875 to around $750 now, and I've decided to just give up for the time being.

Yeah I have been thinking that after a $200 downswing. Got to keep going though, really, otherwise the bad streaks will be accentuated, just because we don't play enough volume.

During current Hold'em session you were dealt 45 hands and saw flop:
- 1 out of 5 times while in big blind (20%)
- 1 out of 7 times while in small blind (14%)
- 1 out of 33 times in other positions (3%)
- a total of 3 out of 45 (6%)

and when I get a decent hand it knocks me out. :fp: The other one I was playing at the same time wasn't much better than that either.

Good god this should have been first! Went into HU with a 3:1 lead - but when I got Tony all in A-K vs A-TEN - he hit his ten on the river to stay in. From that point is was survival stuff, but manaed to grind my way back over an hour to be levelish again, but eventually all the stacks went in on my A-J vs Q-Q when the blinds were getting high. He hit a set and that was it. Dissappointing, but I didnt half get screwed for cards HU and I'm not sure if I could have done much more different to win it despite my lead.

Won a great hand early on when someone shoved all in oddly on the turn of a J-9-9-7 board. It didnt seem right, so after a lot of deliberation I called his all-in with 5-5, and he turned over Fours. Thought that was a great call, I worked my way through the hand nd it made little sense he'd do that with a Jack or a Nine.

Anyway - good start to the league.
