Omg. I call a 3bet in position with AKo, fold flop and he shows AA, gg. Then I call a shorty all in with A3 vs his KJ and he hits a Jack. THen I call another shorty all in with 55 vs his Q2, but the BB wakes up with JJ!!!!

EDIT - AND NOW, I've raised KJ on the button to scare of another shorty, and HE WAKES UP WITH KQ

In 6 hands, down from 20k to 4, mostly making exactly the right plays, IMO.

Ahh. Not a bad result in pub poker tonight but it could have been a lot better. Fifth place for fifty points.

Basically in this league the top two go to the regional finals and then 3rd - 10th have a playoff game and the winner of that also goes. There are three of us at the top miles ahead of 4th. I'm currently in 2nd, ten points behind the leader and fifty points ahead of third place. The guy in third is a good player and I can just see me going out early next week (which is the final game of the season) and him getting 3rd or something. The guy in first is actually a pretty poor player so I'm fairly confident of placing above him next week. So it's all coming down to the final game! I'm going to bottle it I just know it .

Basically out. Picked up QQ and lost to 96....

EDIT - Out in 486th (out of over 34000!), for $106. Real shame to go out to that hand, but I had cracked aces and kings from behind in that tourney already, so it's fair enough.

Halfway through a live £25 double chance - starting stacks of 5,000.

Got coolered with a Queen Flush vs a King Flush, but then picked up A-A vs K-K and Q-Q to triple up (Flop of A-Q-4) and two little ducks became one big FH to get me to a current stack of 17,850. Update again later.

26k at the second break. Lost with 10s vs A-A, and lost half my stack, managed it - but now I'm up to 26k after calling an all-in with those Magic Sevens vs 3-3. Blank board. Final table with nine with four paid.

Well, dissappointing end to a promising start and into the red after my second game.

:(

Got the final table with an average stack, which is always a bit tough because you can be stuck between shovy play and trying to pick good spots to see flops. Truth is I didn't see the cards - Sixes was the best I saw for the whole final table, every time I raised I was re-raised, and only a good call on a Q-5-6-6-5 board with Q-8 from the BB was keeping nme in it. I was shoving when I could or had to - but using hands I really don't want to see a call with klike A-5s, K-10 etc. in the end, the blinds caught me up, I shoved with K-7d, and got insta-called by K-Qh. Nothing came down and it was hasta la vista.

Standard was better tonight, but still some sloppy play, just needed some better cards on that final table to attack with, and I would have got there I think. There was no massive stack, so the chance was there. Positives to take is that it was another final table out of twenty, and I overcame a massive cooler to even come close. I realise I'm in the red which is a shame, but two games means nothing, I will be judging myself more in a few months time. Did think for a while that profit was gonna shoot up but sadly not. Oh well, theres always next time.

For sure.

Still, think my four-bet with A-TEN was kinda good to corner you with your A-EIGHT. Board would make it split though wouldn't it?

The Coin Game was more amazing though, mad skillz.

Gaaaaagggggghhhh, why is it happening on the bubble atm? One guy gets lucky with AQ against AK, then doubles from me with AQ vs my KK, and then finishes me by calling my all in( for all his stack, near enough) with KQ vs my A3, for a turn Q. Argggghh...

I'm on a bit of downer as well at the moment. QQ running in to AA, AK < AQ, getting my straights beaten by better straights... Need to win one of these two to keep even.

lol - then get in first hand with KK, come up against AA and TT

EDIT - Combination of running bad and playing bad has brought my roll down by about $180, but I'm still ending the month on about $600, which is a roll-up of about $350 from last month, so that's good.

I'm going to cut my roll to $500 for Febuary, and try and play more sensibly when I get on this month.
