Probably just shoving there with JJ, QQ, KK, AA, AKs, as you say there a bit of a spaz then I can maybe add TT, AQs and possibly AJs.

I can put the hand in SNGWiz later and let you know what that says, but generally you don't really want to be in a race. Other things to consider are that there are several people much shorter stacked than you and one of the guys in the pot has you covered you, and the BB is still only 50 so plenty of time left yet, so unless you have a really good hand it's prob best to fold.

Please do.

And Luw, please tell me you didn't just jump up to 9 tables from 4 or something? I tried jumping from 4 to 14 when going for a bonus last year and it wasn't pleasant.

Yeah the idea of a squeeze to bluff doesn't really work here, so you need premium only. I'd be tempted to scratch AJ off of Gaz' list, but otherwise that's right, for me.

In other news, I just came 3rd in a 60FPP hyper =-turbo 36 man where 1st gets a ticket to the $33 4-max and 2nd gets 100FPP :(

Nah sykes I used to profitabley 6-8 table but just shoddy ass run of luck. But it's to be expected; no harm. My game still needs vastly improving.

I mirror nova and satriales. You shouldn't be calling with anything but super premium. (adding a slightly larger range vs a loldonkaments player)

It's unprofitable in terms of ICM.

Imagine if you're starting stack with 1500 chips. Those 1500 chips cost you $6 + .50 rake. Call this "tournament equity".

You get your AQo into a flip versus JJ and lose 50% of the time and win 50% (give or take). As the goal of the sit n go is ultimately to win it but penultimately to reach the cash and break the bubble you don't really achieve much by calling with anything else. Cold calling with AK is also out of the question as your fold equity becomes more and more diminished the bigger the preflop action.

Hands such as AQ/AJ/TT/99/88 and lower are often enough behind in an all in situation to fold these cards or risk losiing your complete tournament equity.

They do a free eBook called "A comedy of errors" (1+2) take a browse and use it to perfect your game. I am still working through it though. Also Colin Moshman Sit n Go strategy is pretty good if you want some material text!

I cashed in the SCOOP 4-max, but only for about $60. I almost cashed in the SCOOP $11 turbo rebuy too but went out just before the bubble. After the rebuy period I was completely card dead and there were two players at my table who were being dealt aces every other hand and so they both built up huge stacks and completely dominated the table. I stole the blinds at every opportunity I could (which wasn't very often) but eventually got blinded right down and had to shove with a J5s and obviously ran into KK.

Ok, I put the hand into SNGWiz and using the default model for every player it suggests you only shove with QQ, KK, and AA.

If I adjust the players to be extremely spazzy then it says you can push with 88+, AQ+, and AJs+, but they have to be real donks, opening the pot with Q5s and willing to call your all-in with K7s.
Image

I also adjusted it so that both those players are calling with 100% of hands and it says you should only shove the top 15% of hands.

Cheers for running those numbers through Sat. Not sure he'd have fit into as tight a model as that, as the original guy called with 87s and the second guy folded pretty quickly.

Last night was unreal. Lost three all ins - AQ vs KJ, A-9 vs Q-EIGHT and then with me incredibly short stacked AQ vs 5-3o.

I was in the BB, and he had incredibly found a way to limp from UTG before I shoved all-in pricing him in.

I had lots of fun in the SCOOP last night. I was sat to the left of a donk who was playing 50% of hands and if you showed any sign of weakness he would shove his whole stack in.

Early on I had AQ, the flop was all low cards and I just checked. He shoved and so I had to fold.

A bit later I had AA. He limped for 50 and so I raised to 250 and everyone else folded except him. The flop was all hearts and one of my aces was the heart. I bet and he called. The turn was another heart giving me the nuts and I knew if I just checked he would put a massive bet in on the river. So I checked and then on the river he insta-shoved for about 4k into a 1k pot. I called and he had 23

Later on in the tournament he was UTG with 12k and blinds were 100/200. He decided to shove 60BB from UTG and I had to fold my 99 but someone else called with QQ. Guy who had shoved had J3o :fp:

Good luck. I thought the $22 1R1A was tonight but it turns out it's tomorrow so I don't think I will be playing much tonight.
