Just did a $1 tournament and came 179/4140 which only netted me $5 :|
I went all-in pre-flop with QQ vs 88 but another 8 came up on the turn.

Whilst playing my $1 tourney I was getting bored so I tried a $3 hyper-turbo satellite [4-max]. It was insane as you only start with 500 chips, the blinds begin at 25/50/10, and they double every 3 mins. There were 239 players with the top 8 winning entry into a $109 tournament and the whole thing only lasted 20 minutes. I managed to be one of those 8 who won a tournament entry 8-) but I then unregistered from the tourney so I can use the $109 on sit n go's instead.

I'm a few episodes behind in HSP but I'll probably catch up later.

I just played a couple of $5 1-table SnG's and came 2nd in both of them. Got very unlucky heads up in one of them as I raised pre-flop with AJ and the flop was 26J. The other guy bets and so I go all-in, he has 26 :fp:

I'll watch it in a while. Not in the mood at the moment.

GG Gazza... I wish I ran like that though. Fancy trading accounts?

I'm gonna let that one slide, since you already stole the way I run in all-in situations.

That terrible player got me again tonight - out first ONCE AGAIN.

:fp:

Firstly I raise it up with J-J, he calls with 10-9 o/s.

Flop K-Q-J. Ouch. So I managed to just about escape that one with some of my stack.

Then I go to make a move with a 10 I've hit, he puts me all-in, I fold, and he shows me two pair 10s and 4s after there had been a raise before the flop.

Then an insta call of my shove in desperate situation with A-10. I assume hes got me crushed, but he actually flips over K-J. He hits K and J on the flop. No queen comes to save me.

Why do I always end up on this blokes table?

:(

Beaten by your own play, there's got to be some irony in that

PLEASE let it go?

Everytime I come in here to actually talk poker its now all 'lol fish', which is all well and good - but now I never get to discuss my play!

Stack sizes, blinds and general perception of the villain?

The villain is an idiot. He gaffaws when he wins and drinks whilst playing. He has in the past called all-ins with 8-6 off and 10-3 off. He obviously sometimes gets cards, but literally will play anything. When I have the Jacks stacks are average 3000, blinds 50/100 (2nd level). I raise it up to 300, and he calls along with one other (Villain has called with 10-9 off).
I bet 600, villain calls - other folds. Turn is an 8, but its a diamond which completes a flush. He loves chasing draws so slow down. I check, he bets 600 again, and knowing that he might have bet that with a King or Queen (or two pair) - that seems like a fair amount to call. On the river a two - so I check, and bizarrely he checks. He shows the straight, I ask why he didnt bet, did he think I have the flush? He says....no.

:?

The A-10 I only had 850, with blinds at 75/150 - and he did have a lot of chips, but it doesnt stop K-J being a dreadful call.

Played the Jacks to perfection. In the above hand, were either of you in the blinds?

No. He wasnt quite 'priced in' but it was the way he insta-called like he had to be ahead with K-J.....
