Donkey work indeed that.

I did try discussing them in the GRSOP thread which you have ignored.

Once again, I just said that I disagreed with the way you played each hand, the reasons for which I have already posted. Fortunately for you each time I hit the board pretty big. Personally speaking I wouldn't necessarily fold KQ or AT preflop when faced with a raise from you. If someone like Rex raises me then I would be more inclined to fold.

I honestly don't think many people here would have played either of those hands the way you did.

I can understand Drummy is annoyed that he got caught out by unorthodox play, but I was ahead the whole way on both of them, so calling me a 'donk' is a bit far fetched as far as I am concerned. If I'd raised with my A-K, I would have lost him, and I did call a raise pre flop with Aces, with Drum with not much behind. It was just a case of waiting for him to shove in, which he duly did. I cannot give him credit for two pair as he would have already shoved on the flop when I checked, so hes either got one pair or an unlikely straight. I have got him to do what I want, I beat much of his aggressive raise range and get all his chips instead of just a few by re-raising before the flop and letting him fold.

Donkey work indeed that.

Do you have the actual hands to put up?

I didn't play to well today, though I really didn't see much either. I'm also amazed that forestaar called my push with 77.

But thats the whole reason I DID go about them that way....so you couldn't have me on those hands!

I don't always play them that way as I have explained and YOU have ignored, so this isn't a one way thing.

Lets remember....

I was ahead the whole way on both hands.
You didnt have all that much behind you when I called the A-A. You hit your best pair, those chips are going in the middle.
Big pros actually say calling a raise with big pairs is often a good play as you often catch guys out, which I blatantly did.
My A-K was unsuited, I was more than OK to go for a smallish pot as I already had a lead in the game. As it was we both got big flops and you couldnt get away.

Its unconventional, but this is why slow-playing works. I am used to being in an enviroment where I know how guys play in games. I also know how you guys tend to moker, and I also know you think I am a donkey. I largely sat back, waited for good hands, and did well with it, showing a hand if it was a big bluff or big blind special. Its not what I would do in a tourny situation with all the usual fish. You guys aren't fish. I have to try different things to catch you unawares, which duly I did. I'm not going to apologise for absolutely robbing you of all your chips! Its exactly because I HAVE respect I would slow play a hand rather than go at it fast.

You had a bit of a rollercoaster Jamie didn't you? I think you just need a bit more restraint and you could become a really good poker player.

Oh man . The one hand I did notice I fluffed was when your lot all joined our table. I think I just got really excited to see new faces and called you with almost nothing, practically handing you several hundred chips .

The main thing I noticed was that you were playing lots of hands. Perhaps just fold a few more hands pre-flop.

I'm not asking you to, and I haven't ignored anything. I've read your earlier post, and fair enough. But regardless of what hand you have, calling from the blinds and therefore playing out of position for the entire hand is not optimal. That's the only thing I am trying to get across to you and I haven't seen you acknowledge it. The one thing I hope you more than anyone gets out of this series is to try and take the opinions of others on board before instantly dismissing them.

As for a series wrap-up: I didn't do too well. It started off okay. I felt I should have beaten Jebus (no disrespect there) but he got the best of me in the HU. Then Stud, that was pretty up and down but I can't complain with 3rd place in a form of poker I'd never played before. In Omaha I got short early thanks to some controversial play, and then busted out in a three way pot which Sparky scooped. Main Event even worse.

On the whole I felt I deserved better but hey, middle of the pack isn't too bad.
