I hate poker, it's incredibly annoying. I'm still only just starting out and I'm determined to succeed but your determination is definitely tested when you're knocked out of 6 SnGs in a row in stupid hands. AK lost to 97o? Yep. QQ lost to 23? Yep. Trips kings lost to 22 who hits the other two 2s on the turn and the river? Yep.

And nothing is more infuriating to a newbie who's genuinely trying to better his play than a perpetual raiser who'll reraise you with 73o and then show his cards when everyone else folds.

It can be very frustrating, but as long as you are getting your chips in with the better hand then I wouldn't worry too much about the results. Just take it on the chin and hope your luck holds next time. It's the reason why you should have a bankroll of ~50+ buy-ins, as no matter how well you play you can't win them all and luck will play a big part in your short-term results.

Well my return to poker has been fairly poor

Will see what we can do at the Team Game before I decide on an iPoker roll.

Was doing well in the Daily 100K left. About 100 left have slightly below an average stack, then my touchpad stops working. Spend 20 minutes trying to get it to work, eventually turns out I pressed a button which turns it off. (Most useless laptop button ever btw) and when I work this out I have about 6 BB left.

I use a (wireless) mouse because I hate touchpads. Should be buying a PC in a couple of months so will really be able to grind the multi tables.

Pretty much what satriales said. In the long term, we should be grateful for these players making terrible plays. At the low stakes you can just concentrate on value betting your good hands and letting others make mistakes.

I'm going to the seaside at lunchtime so will miss most of those. Got lots of revision to do this weekend too, so not sure i'll be able to play much. I do have a $20,000 raketherake freeroll tomorrow night though, and there are only 98 players registered so far, so i'll definitely play that.

I'm deep in another donkament

7/35 from 3659 entrants in a $3 FO. Money isn't very good though unless you final table.

Edit: 1/31 now:

Poker Stars $3.00+$0.30 No Limit Hold'em Tournament - t8000/t16000 Blinds + t2000 - 8 players
DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter

Hero (BTN): t436424 M = 10.91
DDiceX (SB): t485892 M = 12.15
NeedCash86 (BB): t180462 M = 4.51
shyller25 (UTG): t154287 M = 3.86
julioakqq (UTG+1): t471706 M = 11.79
spider591 (MP1): t229049 M = 5.73
zazapivas (MP2): t156663 M = 3.92
jacare.wal (CO): t661131 M = 16.53

Pre Flop: (t40000) Hero is BTN with 7Image 9Image
5 folds, Hero raises to t35185, DDiceX raises to t80000, 1 fold, Hero calls t44815

Flop: (t192000) 5Image 8Image KImage (2 players)
DDiceX bets t403892 all in, Hero calls t354424 all in

Turn: (t900848) TImage (2 players - 2 are all in)

River: (t900848) 6Image (2 players - 2 are all in)

Final Pot: t900848
Hero shows 7Image 9Image (a flush, Ten high)
DDiceX shows KImage AImage (a pair of Kings)
Hero wins t900848

Yeah I played this hand terribly, but looking back at the odds I was still 48% to win after calling his shove. The main reason I called was because his bet was so large that I thought he was bluffing with AQ, AJ sort of hands and that would give me another 6 outs.

Update:
Finished in 5th for $466.52 Called an all-in with QQ and was up against AQ but he hit an ace on the flop. Next hand I get it in with 77 against his AT and he makes two pair.
As usual I can't complain really as I had quite a few lucky hands to reach the final table. One of the biggest I remember was getting it in as a short stack with 77 v JJ v AK and flopping the set. 8-)

Also:
Down to 43 players from 812 in a $11 deepstack...

This freeroll is pretty good value. There's $20,000 in prizes and only 148 players, so each seat is worth about $135.

Come on Sat!

Sorry buddy - I went out. Sick hands.

A-Qd into Aces - halved my stack - A-10-6 flop. Check called turn and river, and he showed the set of Aces.

Raised pre with K-K - one caller UTG - flop A-J-10 guy goes all-in.

Then suck out with mini stack A-3s vs A-K.

All went in eventually on Q-J-4 flop - K-Q vs Q-J. Turned a spade for a draw but missed on the river.

Such gooseberry fool luck - but :| to the format. Five minuite blinds for that much money?

Yeah not impressed with the format, especially with only 1500 starting stack, and a guy on my table keeps stalling.

Edit: And now i'm out. Had 1400 chips blinds are already 200/400, I shove with Q7 from MP as I can see that most of the other players are on around 2k and so it's my last chance with some fold equity before I start getting blinded out. Called by AK and it holds.

Honestly - some of the play was pretty awful - why couldn't it have a decent structure? So sick of this gooseberry fool happening to me in poker. When IS my big pay-day happening? Its so demoralising. If this bollocks happens again in Southampton....

It's not just the five minute blinds, compared to a turbo 180-man, the blinds increases are much steeper.
Annoying to have a potentially great tournament ruined by poor structure and idiots stalling.

Edit: Just checked and the format is identical to the 2xTurbo tournaments.
