Currently withdrawing most my roll from Stars. Will leave a little in to play recreationally but I always said I'd stop playing when it wasn't fun anymore and that's the case. A two outer followed by a 3 outer in quick succession in addition to the other hits around the head the decks given me has prompted this post for now. Running 40 buyins under EV is not an enjoyable experience. Hopefully it'll be fun again in the future.

GG sykes. Run bads definitely prompts prolonged breaks for the good of the bank. Your ev/profit range is disgustingly sick. Mega run bad.

If your not having fun why waste time on it? You will probably be refreshed and ready to play again in the future! :D :D

You've probably made the right decision, Sykes.

WSOPE episodes 1 & 2 should have aired on ESPN on 7th Feb IIRC, yet there didn't seem to be uploaded to any of the usual sites last night. :( :?

suad75 wins $74088.00 USD from main pot

$2.20 90 man. Headsup vs suad75 who has had a consitent 60% VPIP throughout the tournament. Has sucked out 2 times on the final table and has had the big stack sit out next to him so he could steal all his chips. All in preflop too. I think that I would have crushed him headsup if I had taken down that 75k pot!

This belongs on failblog or something :P

Not bad, you're running well at the moment. How much was 2nd?

IMO we really should be crushing tournaments at that level but some of us can't even win a strawberry floating $4.40.

I'm running ok. Break even nearly over the last 20 tournaments. The hot streak I had has definitely worn off. Had loads of +ev hands cracked recently and running around . 35 dollars for second. Was playing it alongside a 4.40 in which on two occasions people undersetted my big pairs lol which ended in me cut off shoving AJ into Jacks on the button. I have big respect for the heater though :) All's fair in love and war :D

I've never won a 4.40 either lol. You have to be playing them a lot to actually get a win? You have a good return on them though, right?

I've played roughly fifty of them, with 10 (IIRC) final tables. Could have potentially won four of them, but them's the breaks.

Actually, I was thinking of playing 100 of those and seeing where I get (the 4.40s). If I can win two without making any other cashes, that would leave me breakeven, so might be worth a shot.

Truth is, I don't really know what to play at the moment (I've been running bad in 18 ish man tournies, and 6 max), and I know that my $854.32 from 31 games isn't possible to replicate but I definately think I can at least breakeven, so it's worth a go.

So, I'm off to a good start. With QQ in the SB, I make a huge raise to get people out, get 3 callers. After being relieved to see a flop of 272 I find a player has called this 10xBB reraise with 22 :|

EDIT - And now out of another. I have AQ and notice some guy who just lost a big pot makes a big raise, so I shove him. He tanks, and calls anyway with JKo. Q on the flop. I say casually to my girlfriend, 'no King'.

On the turn

EDIT 2 - ANd now out of another with KK vs JJ and 77. J on the turn. WTF?

I'll try and remember to do it tonight, I've been really busy recently.

I know what you mean. What with Sniff Jr retiring, Rex, myself and Sat not appearing to play much recently, this thread hasn't been too active.

WSOPE videos now up on Pokertube. I'll be watching the Caesar's Cup and the Main Event videos tonight (after Lost)! :D

I haven't played any poker yet this month as I've been quite busy. Also a few days ago we had a party in our flat to celebrate my housemate's birthday and one of our mates was found dead the next morning from alcohol poisoning so not really been in the right mood to play poker since that.
