Scratched that - I just nearly trebled my free bankroll in an hour following the bankrolling restrictions.

Over seventy quid now.

8-)

So how does it work? That post didn't really explain anything.

You signup to Pokerstrategy then take a 'basics' quiz. Once you pass you get $50 at a selection of poker rooms. (You have to be a new registrant).

If you're interested and what a referral i'll go halves on any benefits I get (up to $100) depending on your performance

Yes.

However it offers you three poker rooms out of twenty totally at random. If you get offered three you already have an account with, even if you haven't deposited - you cannot use any of them. It must be an account at a pokersite you have never used before.

For me it came up Full Tilt, PartyPoker and William Hill. I have accounts at the first two, but luckily not at the third, so I went with that. Different ones have different restrictions - and its instead of a rakeback deal.

It has been on for a couple of years! No reason to think it will end any time soon. It's basically an affiliate site, they get money for referring you they just give you some of that referral fee in the form of a free roll.

DML summed it up, it's completely free, but there are wagering attachments and I know on Will Hill they put a physical bank roll management system in place, if nothing else, it's anti-tilt friendly.

You do realise the deal is really bad? You should get rakeback instead. If I'd have taken a deal like that when I signed up to WH I'd probably be about 3 grand worse off.

Sure - but as a real short term for me its good. I'm not going to use William Hill long term - and this way I actually have money to play with.

Absolutely, but it is a beginners bank roll starter for a reason. The idea being you learn about poker and successfully meet the withdrawal target cashing out your starting roll, then you can use that to deposit in to new rooms, getting rake back and all the other perks. It's a free-entry in to Poker with no spilt milk if you turn out to be rubbish and lose it all.

In all honesty, it's probably not suited to most people in this thread.

I can see the initial benefits but I have an account on most sites so I don't think I will bother.

Keep us updated with how you get on with it anyway.

Apparently there's a poker dogs (Southampton) team event going on the 5th of June. If it sounds like he's going to get a good game going, would anyone be interested? Just having a think. I'd be in if we could get some numbers.
