Goodbye downswing!

http://yfrog.com/izrevidedj

That downswing was when i was rolled at around $1000. Had to cash out after it for monetary issues. Made no sense to have an overdraft and a poker account full of benjis! Redeposited $50 prior to the SCOOP and now back up to around $200 !

There you have 2 x ~$70s 1 x $50 2x $80 from 90/45/180 mans + SCOOP $80 cash. Some others are 18-27 man 5.50 and a couple of $13 six mans for $45 each. Pretty flatuent!

My previous graph which I lost when I had to wipe my hard drive is quite a steady growth of just $6.50 6 max turbos. A growth of around $300 or so I think it was.

All's fair in love and war!

Last few times I've made it to HU, I will get it in ahead with the chip advantage and my hands just don't hold, leaving me crippled and then having to be content to take 2nd. Bit annoying really. Example of this in the last sit and go I played. I had experimented with limping in the small blind/button to see what he would do, and he had gone all in each time. I then pick up AJ in this position and limp in, he shoves and I snap. He shows K9 so I'm not a massive favourite but nonetheless, he turns a king. Little later when I'm short due to that hand his 9T > my A6.

:x

Playing good though which is all I can do.

Yeah that sucks Drummy :(

I'm playing much better in the mid-stages of the 1R1A $5 tourney that I won last year. Deep enough to be aggressive but keeping pots controlled at the moment. I'm loving three-bets in position.

I don't have the ability to create games so someone else maybe step up to organise it?

Anyway, it's exactly one week until the World Series of Poker starts up again so I've quickly come up with a few prediction questions.

World Series of Poker 2010 Predictions:

Which established pros will win a bracelet?

Who is your pick to have a very strong series?

Rookie to watch?

Tip to win the Main Event (aka the long laster bet)?

You aren't the first person to do that. Can people not see past Ivey?

Fair enough he is the best player around and has been for a long time but surely other players are capable of having great years?

I'll go with:

Which established pros will win a bracelet?
Hellmuth (yeah baby), Matusow, ElkY, Obrestad, Mercier

Who is your pick to have a very strong series?
Negreanu

Rookie to watch?
Daniel Kelly (destroyed the WCOOP last year)

Tip to win the Main Event (aka the long laster bet)?
Raymer

Well he just owns time and time again. If I had to put my money somewhere, that's where it would be. I don't think you can really pick a person in particular to have a good series, it's like guessing the lottery numbers with the amount of randomness involved. I'm sure we will see the same sorts of names going deep but who knows what will happen. Probably more likely than not to be a final table without a well known pro though.

I think Negreanu will do well, he seems to be on good form at the moment. Mercier runs like God so I wouldn't bet against him winning something. I think Helmuth will have a good year, all of his donk moves recently were probably just part of an elaborate plan to win the WSOP Main Event again.

I didn't think you could setup up a private HU tournament in Stars but I just checked and there is a tickbox for HU so I guess you can. :D
I'll create the game if we agree on a date/buy-in.
