Your $15 will buy you 15 tournament entries (buy-ins) if you are playing the $1 stakes, but even the best players can get unlucky and go 15 tournaments in a row without cashing so it's generally accepted that a bankroll of 30+ buy-ins is required to have a safety net and stop you going broke. It's not so important if you are just starting out as you can always redeposit and be right back where you were, but if you move up the stakes you'll want to take luck out of the equation and minimize the chances of you losing everything.

Just seach for 'bankroll management' if you want to learn more, there are also probably some good articles in the first post of this thread.

GAAAAAAAAHHHH! Running so bad. Not playing great either. Last 120 of a tourney on PS get my stack in with AK vs AJ for the CL (turbo tourney btw) and get 4 outed on the river. Been 2 outted about 5 or 6 times in the last 2 days. Frustrating! I also really struggle with navigating the larger fields that pokerstars has.

Well your problem is that you're playing Turbos. Turbos are rubbish. Don't play Turbos.

Is there any part of your tourney game you feel you need to work on? I'm probably better discussing theory than I actually am at playing so I wouldn't mind helping.

(BTW, I finished 5th or 6th in a $5.50 R/A on Stars yesterday if you need to see my credentials. ;) )

I'm just about to cash one of those. I have a sizeable stack too, somehow. Barely ever got to showdown.

I think I have a patience issue I've prospered more in tournies with 90-400 players in.
