Once you get to the end you have to shove no question, just a shame it came to that!

I probably shove all day tbh, cooler if you lose. Unless I know he can fold trips then maybe I just call but seriously, just looks like a standard value bet with second pair or trips or just repping something they don't have. If I expect you to fold a straight then lol I can bet with anything! People expect you to fold so many hand here so a good spot to represent no? From their POV I mean.

See that's what I was thinking. I certainly wasn't folding, I was just wondering whether there was any value in flatting.

I don't think shoving is terrible so dw. :)

Gonna hit the tables now. Plenty of fish on believe it or not. Roll is just a smidge under £2,000. Playing $100+$5 games now. 8-)

I think flatting is fine. He's not calling a shove with many worse hands and there are lots of hands that beat you. The way he played this I would have thought he was bluffing the river and so if you shove he will just fold anyway unless he has a better hand than you. Maybe he will call with trips but that is a tiny part of his range.

AI preflop A4 against K10, trip 4s on the flop only to have him river a flush to knock me out. Then on another table all in with JJ on the flop with a 10 high board after re-raising his 200 bet to 500 pre. He turns over K9 and rivers a K. :fp:

I had to miss the pub poker last night because of my operation, which sucks. It's very possible I'll still be top, though, so I just have to get back on it this week.

Gah just lost a good chunk of my roll playing cash all to one guy who ran stupidly hot and I tilted some off to him as well. I'm my own worst enemy at the moment though running a set of 3s in 10s didn't help!

My AQ against AJ, both hit our ace and he spikes a jack on the river again. I'm sensing PS doesn't like me at the moment.

EDIT: My QQ river a set to beat AA. :shifty:

Was just wondering why my big aces always lose to small aces, when I suck out with KQ vs AQ to stay alive in the big freeze satelleite. Last 9 atm.

Go Nova!

I'm on a bit of a run at the moment. Partly due to the cards going my way but I feel my end game is getting better too. Here's my last five games, I'm running Hot according to SharkScope:

Code: Select all

GameID        Date (GMT)          Type         EntryFee   Position   Profit
 221888633     14-Dec-09 21:28     NL Holdem       $10       1/9      $34
 220635706     10-Dec-09 22:09     NL Holdem       $5        2/9      $8
 218938484     5-Dec-09  14:28     NL Holdem       $3        1/18     $18.20
 218933696     5-Dec-09  14:22     NL Holdem       $3        2/18     $12.80

Very nice Drummy! I made a bad call to a short stack and then made a call of an all-in with JJ. He had AK, and the ace on the flop ends it for me. :(

That just means you have cashed a few times in a row. Sharkscope doesn't calculate EV or anything.

This weekend it might be a good idea to bring a sleeping back with you or some sort of blanket if you can. We only really have proper room for one person to come over. We will just mash some sofas together but I only have one spare duvet.

Also slayer and Sykes will need ID with them and don't wear a hoody to the casino.
