Good stuff. Won't be long before you break the grcade record for biggest cash ;)

Would have gone to G Casino but it was a bit short notice and I can't afford to spend much at the moment as I'm not always guranteed work. Hopefully I'll get a new job soon and then I won't be so skint. Definitely count me in for the next G Casino meet though.

Just played two games at the pub. I won the first game which leaves me with a really good chance at winning the pub for the month as I'm currently second with 500+points and the guy in first is only 4 points ahead plus he is away next week.

The 2nd game was the sickest game of poker I've ever seen. This woman just could not lose and knocked loads of people out with terrible hands. First someone makes a massive raise pre with AA and she calls they both check the flop which has an ace. Then on the turn AA guy gets the rest of his stack in and she calls with just a gutshot and hits on the river.

After that she knocks someone else out when they go all-in pre with JJ and she calls with Q6o and hits a queen. Then someone else goes with their AK being beaten by 52o. Then I get it all in pre flop with AQs and she calls with Q9o and rivers a 9 to knock me out. :fp:

It was ridiculous, but quite funny.

So yeah, Psykes basically cheated his way to glory last night. Then he split the money four ways because he has no balls!

I managed my best performance () by finishing 12th out of 42 entrants, catching the flop all in on a 40/60 and then getting 3 outered on the river to knock me out, when I was one card away from taking a just above average stack to the final table (the next guy went out 1 or 2 hands after I did).

This was then followed by some of the craziest gooseberry fool I've ever seen first hand in a casino. I don't want to spoil Aaron's story of glory for him, so I'll wait for him to tell it.

Anyway, congrats to Psykes and Aaron. Was good to see people again.

I'm getting really sick of people claiming 'odds' pre-flop with gooseberry fool hands. I'm perfectly aware that they're getting good value for money and that they can put me and other callers on high cards, meaning they can work around if there is a low flop, but it's really not a sound tactic at all if you don't have a large chip stack. If you have a large chip stack, you can afford to lose a little to see a flop under those conditions, but if you don't you're just praying to suck out. It's frustrating when you re-raise to eight times the big blind and some idiot with 5-7 off suit and a perfectly average to low chip stack calls claiming odds, flopping a straight, destroying your AK. It's simply bad play and it's especially irritating when they try to justify the call with ill-understood poker strategy.
