I don't suppose a super quick reshuffling to a Saturday night would be entirely out of the question...?

Rex, Aaron and myself will probably still be driving home from Alton Towers and Slayer will still be on the coach.

Are there any other casinos in Coventry?
I'd be happy to do it another day (I'm free most days at the moment) or have a home game instead, but the £30 freezeout sounded ideal :(

Been looking around other local casinos although I quite fancy playing the satellite.

Maxims has a £5+0.50 freezeout

Broadway in Birmingham has a £30 Triple Chance.

I'd be up for either of these.

What's a Triple Chance anyway?

It's where you start with 3 stacks and you can claim the extra chips at any time during the rebuy period, so you can choose to start with all three stacks worth or you can start with 1 and then have some insurance if things go badly.

Good luck to everyone going this weekend, I'd be up for a meet up at some point if I have the money. A big GR home game would be all kinds of awesome.

Sounds interesting. I could probably win the tournament with just one starting stack IMO.

Yeah Jebus and the rest of you guys should deffo come along some time. The last one really was fantastic fun, and not just for the tournament, the social aspect is quite overlooked and as much as I like playing, that's probably the best part of it for me, actually getting to meet the people here which we play and talk with.

Same. I'm not completely against the satelite either but would much prefer a tournament with a cash prize.

If we did decide to go to Birmingham then I can drive although we'd need another car if there's more than 5 of us.

The Triple Chance thing sounds pretty epic. I've heard good things about Broadway as well.

Note no ripped jeans or hoodies if we go Broadway. Smart casual whatever that means. Might mean I need to go buy some news shoes since mine are bloody battered.

No problem with cars, Aaron has one.

Smart casual is shirt and shoes. Jeans are ok, but they need to look good, so not baggy/ripped, as you said. I hate places with a smart/casual dress code(except the casino).

I'm tempted to say converse would be okay, depending on the pattern perhaps. Try giving them a ring?

So it looks like the Birmingham tournament is our best bet if everyone is happy with that?
According to their website it starts at 9pm so if we're going there then I take it we'll still meet up in Coventry during the day and then make our way to Birmingham in the evening?
