Yeah, I noticed it was quite fishy too. I got a little impatient playing too though

I want to scream. The worst poker player ever just cost me massively in the LPPL YET AGAIN. Every time I have my chips in good, and yet now - despite winning last week, I've got this godawful average.

:x

There had been two massive raises the last two hands with AJ to 1200 chips (blinds 75/150 at this point) - so when I get dealt A-A I figure I'll do the same and raise to 1200, and sure enough Donkey comes for a ride. Flop is Q-8-5 rainbow - I check, he bets 1200, I go all in knowing he has hit his Queen and he calls. Sure enough hes got K-Q which I have no idea how hes even called the flop with that knowing I must have A-J OR BETTER. Sure enough, the poker-gods gooseberry fool on me, and he gets the miracle King on the turn - and I have to put up with his weasly grin thinking hes played that really well the only guy who could take me out on the bubble.

To give you some idea, he then went to knock my mates out with 3-2 and 6-8 all-in calls pre-flop. I find that kinda stuff absolutely offensive and completely lacking in respect and yet he sees it as a 'reet good laugh'. Next time I'll be driving him to the bingo.

You were a 4-1 favourite when the chips went in, not quite a miracle.

Sure, but he cant POSSIBLY be ahead. Any poker player with any ounce of nous would know this in the circumstances. Its impossible given the history of the last couple of hands. The King isn't a miracle card, but its miraculous hes still in the hand at that point.

EDIT - And lets face it, without having someone crushed, 4 to 1 is about as good as it gets. He'd been doing it all night, and he needed a lesson, one that fate didnt provide sadly.

Thing is if you say a word about it you're a "whiner" in their and others eyes. :fp:

People like that want to be playing Blind Man's Bluff like they do at the WSOP.

For some people, the game starts and ends at their own cards. Be glad these people are playing with you, because they will give you their chips in the long run.

Exactly, all you want to do is give them a piece of your mind, but at the end of the day its pointless. They don't have a brain so its not going to go in regardless, and you don't want to look like a loser. As far as they're concerned, they have played really well because they have the most chips. End of.

I just get angry, because my mate lost two all ins on two nights in a row to 6-8. Theres bad luck, and then sheer disrespect.

Seriously, at the moment, I'm playing the best poker I've ever played. I'm calling cards like no-ones business, I already have a win this two-monther - and I'm getting 90% plus EV - its just a matter of time - but getting two non-results when I'm playing well is just sickening.

If you want to make it three I'll have a little HU game on Virgin with you, I could use someone to suckout on for a change.

Calling someones all-in pre-flop with absolute no reason to do so (no extra chips etc) with 6-8 off-suit is ridiculous. Doing it twice in two nights I would describe as disrespectful.

I'm running well in the LPPL also.

3rd, 3rd and a 2nd place so far.

If I continue to get no lower than 3rd I think my chances are good for an Area Final seat.

But there's no respect in the first place. To them you're just another punter who fancy's picking two cards and seeing whether they win or not.

My best chance of qualifying is now playing lots of games, or being the Venue Champion at the Hampshire Rose which I currently am.

Players like that are the ones you want to be playing post flop where most of the skill comes into play.
