I lost quite a few games in a row just before easter, so my bankroll took a bit of a hit. Just being cautious by sticking to the small stakes, but I've won about $300 this week so back to the $10 ones now 8-)

I'm 8/147 now.

I called a small raise with QQ and the flop was xxQ. We both checked and the turn was another Q. I made a small bet and the other guy went all-in. He had AA which doesn't quite beat my quads

Nice work

I did a small raise as I hate limping in, but that guy that reraised me has been doing it everytime I raise.
I assumed (if he even had a hand) he was on something like AK or AQ and as I was getting very low on chips I figured it was worth a shot at double or nothing.

Well im out that was a pretty poor structure ante's kicked in early on and started big and been card dead and losing 50 chips a hand doesn't help.

Just chuck em in the muck. Weakish hand + Bad position + Aggressive opponent = Fold

I know I probably should have folded pre-flop but I like to see a flop if I can. If it had been anyone else that raised me I would've folded.

I just had KK and the flop was AJQ then another J on the turn. I had to fold that one :|

Someone raised pre-flop and I called their raise. I thought I'd see if an ace came up on the flop before putting too much money in as I was quite short on chips, but not short enough that a shove would have got called.

Should've put a winky there in all honesty but I don't like it. Even a raise to 9k or so will give you control of the hand which helps massively in playing OOP. Obviously you'd have folded on that occasion but on other boards it lets you get your chips in easier and let's him stack off with TPTK and the like. It also let's the other guy get all-in pre with hands you dominate like AK/AQ or smaller pairs. That's the way I see it anyway.

That's normally how I would've played it but I only had about 35k chips so I didn't feel comfortable putting 9k in as it'd be hard to fold if an ace came up. I probably should've just shoved actually.

Just to add my two cents to your little argument if someone flat calls in that situation to me that's an invitation to open fire and start bullying my opponents. You'd be surprised what you can do even with a meagre stack against the bigger stacks if you're not afraid to start throwing your weight around a bit. It's very likely if you keep doing it and pushing players out of hands they'll start tilting and then they're a cash machine for the next several hands.

I'm still in my poker tournament. It was a deepstack tourney and the blinds go up every 30 mins so it's very slow.

It started with 1260 people and we're down to 11 now, i'm currently 9th. I've been near the back of the pack for the last couple of hours and have been pretty much card dead that whole. I'm not sure how I managed to survive this long as I've been relying on bluffs and stealing blinds.

I don't expect to get much further now, but my aim is to try and get at least 8th place as that $240 compared to $130 for 9th.

Edit: Big stack just crippled me with this hand:

I ended up 10th. Everyone on both tables was just waiting for me to go out as I was the shortstack. I ended up playing QJs and the flop was 99J opponent went all-in and I called. He had QQ.

Oh well I didn't do too bad, I'm just annoyed at the hand in my last post as I was betting with the best hand and the opponent kept reraising me. He then gets lucky on the river once I've put most of my chips in. After that there was very little chance of coming back.

Also it went on for much longer than I expected, I don't think I'll be doing any more deepstacks for a while :|

I was on Dabeear's table so you can see my all-in hand - http://pokertube.com/Movies.aspx?movie=9754&KeyID=2&title=Pokertube_Players_Tourny_250409_____2_000_1_4

I'll explain the way I played that if anyone wants to know.

I think it was somewhere around 18 minutes. This guy wins it, btw...
