Wow, discovered I have £30 of credit on Green Man Gaming, all from naff games i've acquired through voucher exploits/the sun giveaways. Seeing as my money is going to be in very short supply, I could get Arkham City for free, which is very tempting.

Yeah, will be free near enough the whole day. Got any time in mind? I can do 8-9pm onwards?

Free all day too, but yeah, let's say 8pm. What's your Steam ID?

8pm works for me, should be home from gym and have had some time to eat something by then.

Just added you to Steam. Not sure if it'll be under my account name (the account was originally one my yonnger brother created 6 years ago and I've since taken it as exclusively mine but I'm stuck with his stupid account name as Steam won't allow you to change it) or my profile name. If profile name, it'll be 'Caprylate' If account name, well, you'll have a friend request.

Anyone got Cities in Motion?

I don't know anything about it other than it looks a bit like an updated TTD but probably not as complicated.

So I'm trying to figure out what I need to do to install GTA4 mods to Steam. Obviously, since it's a steam copy it updates to the latest patch, but from what I'm reading it seems the mods only work on earlier versions of the game?

Is it possible to install the graphics mods for a Steam copy? If so, how? Quick googling hasn't yielded effective results. TO GRCADE!

It is actually pretty complicated when it comes down to traffic management and budgeting. I wouldn't say it's anywhere near as good as TTD but it's a decent and fairly good looking modern take on that style of game. I think the worst things about it are the lack of multiplayer or even any competitive AI and the mummy strawberry floating ship pathing. SHIP PATHINNNNNNNG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :x

Uploaded (a not particularly great) Trackmania 2 video in HD just to see how it would work...

I think you forgot to tell it to output the audio stream too.

Also, the Track Editor is almost impossible to use. I can't get my head around it at all.

And the Car Skin editor isn't fantastic either, but honestly I don't care.

Indeed, the editors are not the most intuitive. The car skin editor works on the concept of moving the car model around a sticker, rather than moving stickers around the body of said car, like Forza etc have done.

The track editor is also a bit clumsy, press H for help/shortcut commands in either, after a while you'll be making stuff in no time. My only gripe is that the red/green shading of the blocks is too strong, making seeing the actual block before you put it down a problem.

All too often I can't seem to get the next piece of track to join up with the last piece and I can't figure out why the hell not.

That's quite annoying. The two ends are coloured red and black and I think only the same colours can connect together, which usually means having to swap to the other identical piece to see if that fits.

I'll give that a try, but usually it's that the piece just won't go to the same level as the previous one when it looks totally flat.

I then give it about ten minutes to try and figure it out, when that doesn't work I build off in another direction and then when it happens again I get annoyed and just go and play, with the mindset that anything I'd make would be crap anyway and I can download zillions of better maps.

Just put Battlefield 1942 back on my PC. Anyone know how to get the servers to work? I keep getting the message that I can't connect to any servers, looking online it seems that the issue is that the security settings for my house's internet blocks the games online play, apparently it is a problem other people have had.
Anyone got any idea how to get around this?

People are still playing servers, loads of people still play BF1942 but I can't connect to any servers at all.
