I had the freakiest dream last night. I dreamt that I shouted at my mate for being a bit of a twat, and because I did that all my friends decided to victimise me relentlessly, not letting me do anything I wanted and stealing or destroying all my possessions. It got so bad that by the end of it I was seriously considering gunning them all down.

I probably shouldn't have read all your freaky dreams just before I go to bed. If I have nightmares now I'm blaming all of you.

I had two dreams last night both equally weird.

First one, the Marshmallow Man (yup another dream about him, it has been a while!) was in love with me and because I didn't like him he wanted to kill me. I knew I couldn't hide in my house as he would rip the house up and find me so I decided to go on the run and hide in my old school. When I got to the school I found it wasn't deserted but full of kids who were taking refuge. All of the teachers were missing as it was out of school hours and the cleaners were sending the kids home. Knowing that the Marshmallow man would soon be outside I managed to get all the kids to stay indoors and got them up to the first floor (christ knows why, I should have got them to the basement really). Anyway, I didn't get to see the conclusion as the missus woke me up.

The second dream was just disturbing. I went for a job interview in a government department and Aled from the Chris Moyles show was escourting me around the site and generally just chatting to me. We ended up talking all about his future plans and Wales and he was telling me how he was only part time as he wanted experience in the business world. I was going to ask him what it was like working on the show but I didn't think he would want to talk about it so I left it alone. I woke up wondering why of all things I had to dream about that.

I have a dream dictionary. It's spookily accurate in telling you how you feel. It's pretty much dead on every time.

The other night I had a dream that I had loads of holes in the first couple of layers of skin on my cock. I could poke my finger underneath the skin and lift it up to see inside. It was horrible!

I've always had incredibly strange and vivid dreams..

My favorites are when I realize it's a dream and start consciously making decisions, though. Many times I enjoy analyzing and criticizing the looks, feel, and properties of various aspects of my dream - usually water, though. It's always interesting to try and do something fantastical. Recently I tried to run across water, and I actually made it to the other side of a river, but my legs still sank two or so feet.

Another strange dream moment was the time there was some possessed sword in my household that was killing people. Eventually I was just fed up with the entire situation and began to run down my street... however, after running down for a length of time my dream melted away and I was left in just a pitch black nothingness. It stayed like that for awhile until my dream suddenly "shifted" and I was in a new place. I like to think that making radical decisions in a dream causes your brain to have to really think about what's to happen next.

I suggest you guys try and control your dreams too. It's really good fun. 8-)

@Tragic Magic

I've had a couple dreams where all my teeth fell out. Not quite as horrifying, but still pretty frightening!

I usually know that I'm in a dream in a wierd subconscious way, I think I realised that I could direct it once but woke up literally seconds after this revelation :x

EDIT: Just found this site, pretty fascinating http://www.dreamviews.com/index.php

That's lucid dreaming.

Not necessarily dreaming as such, but apparently I often just burst out laughing in my sleep.

I'm not sure why. But it feels really peculiar when I wake up if I laugh too hard.

When I first started to dream lucidly, I would wake up quite quickly. I think the increased brain activity or just self-awareness causes the dream to just break apart around you (in a sense). After practicing for a while, I've been able to sort of "cling" to the dream. 8-)

Does anyone ever do the sudden waking up from a dream where you sit bolt upright? I've done it once, the dream wasn't even scary though.

I do that sometimes. I quite often start making running movements with my legs too.

http://www.dreamviews.com/dreamsigns.php
Dream signs are also sometimes more subtle: light switches that don’t work (device failure, which is very usual), suddenly returning to work at an old job, being late (also very common), losing the ability to scream, the speech patterns of friends being unusual, and of course arriving somewhere naked. Another very common dream sign is having your teeth fall out—this is often a result of excessive worrying. A personal dream sign that I have is the inability to run—I feel as if I’m wading through waist deep water.

Not fun.

That wasn't a dream fool !

It was really horrible.

As was this sort of recurring one I had a few months ago. First one had me learning to drive with my mum in the car. I was gooseberry fool scared and for some reason it was at the dead of night on a tiny country lane.

As I approached this tunnel, about halfway through this great big massive truck comes the other way and it's the size of both lanes. I woke up as I felt the steering wheel crush into my chest.

Similarly I had one where I was skydiving and my chutes failed to open so I spend the next minute seeing the ground coming up towards me.

Ah, good old DreamViews. I used to frequent that site back in the day. Must've been quite a few years ago now. I really should re-train my brain in lucid dreaming but it's not worth all the hassle of people thinking your in some kind of weirdo cult.

I've had dreams of dying before. I once had a dream that I got shot through the neck and I was lying in a heap on the floor slowly bleeding to death from the wound. The pain was horrid! :(

Yeahhh, I had a similar experience when I got stabbed in a dream.

I got stabbed in the side, and I woke up, perhaps 10 seconds after it happened only to find my whole side had gone completely numb, and my heart-rate had nigh-on-stopped. It was really disturbing actually; I was freaking out for like 5 minutes as my heartbeat went back to normal.

So it works? I'm dead set on this now, starting with dream recall. I'm going to hunt down something I can use as a journal before I go to bed :D

Yeah, it works. I had my own technique which I used for about a week and BAM! got my first lucid dream just like that and it was pretty long and vivid. After my first time though, I'd wake up as soon as I realised I was lucid because of the rush you get from it. It's the weirdest feeling. I remember as I became lucid I'd be hit by this huge blast of air that just knocked me to my feet and it'd be so hard not to wake up at that point from the excitement.

There are so many ways to do it. You can even do something called a WILD where you go directly from being a wake, straight into a dream. It's pretty advanced though and is actually really scary when you're doing it. I never managed to do it successfully but I got close and it scared the crap out of me! I'd love to get back into this again now. The brain is an incredible thing.

I used to have a couple of MP3s that you'd listen to as you go to sleep but I don't have them now and can't find them on any site. :(

Hey there was also this one where I was mugged by some chav in a shopping centre, only for him to get shot. Turns out he was shot by an Islamic terrorist who proceeded to shoot me too.

One giant WTFMON with added racial and social stereotypes.
