Don't talk gooseberry fool, if they're big enough to headline a festival, they're big enough for a split to be newsworthy.

Oh gooseberry fool. I saw them at V last weekend. Was that their last ever gig?

They weren't even that good. I had just finished a hot, sweaty, electric session with Lady GaGa. Oasis were flat and boring in comparison.

Well considering the songs where Noel sings are actually good I cannot complain.

They're nothing much anymore. It's a shame that it ended this way, but I don't see why they'd hate each other so much.

If the both of them go solo I can see Noel being a lot more successful.

I think the reason they hate each other stems from Liam saying something about Noel's kid not really being his.

I can't see either of them going solo to be honest, Noel has frequently said he hasn't got anything to write about anymore and Liam well sure his song writing has come along but he can't think a solo career would end well for him, despite his arrogance.

If this really is the end Noel may well continue touring by himself doing acoustic sessions, he's done plenty before and they're very popular.

Oh and to say they're nothing anymore is ludicrous, Dig Out Your Soul has some excellent songs on, Don't Believe The Truth is one of the best albums of the last 5 years, and they remain one of the most popular live acts in the world. Also despite having been going for 15 or so years they've never made a bad album, not many bands can boast that.

I will be pretty devastated if this really is it :(

He is, Liam was in another band who asked to sing Noels songs. Then the record label scouts got hold of them and created Oasis.

Thats not true killaroo.

They were The Rain, then Oasis without Noel. Then he joined and thy were Oasis for a while gigging and rehearsing - until they got signed in Glasgow.

Noel was in Oasis when signed but not a founding member.

I was at V as well. Would be quite cool if we saw their last ever gig.

I agree they were crap at V though. Something was not right and I don't think it was the "illness" that Liam and Noel had.

If Liam is gonna continue the band without Noel, won't they lose half the setlist when playing live? Can you imagine Liam singing some of Noel's songs?

I'm half the world awaaaaaa-yeeeeeeeaaaaaahh

I'm so glad I saw them in June. Probably the best gig I've ever been to. They were fantastic.

I knew I should have stayed in the Arena after Gaga to watch MGMT.

I was obsessed with Oasis during the What's the Story? era, but the last album of theirs that I bought was Be Here Now.

Still, at least I can say that 'I was there!'

I'm a big fan of Oasis and I love all of their albums even the ones that no one else seems to like, so I'm a bit gutted by this news. I hope they continue making music even if they go their seperate ways and maybe in a few years they will get back together and make another Oasis album.

Go strawberry float yourself, Liam.
