He's the best thing about the show.

Tafdolphin wrote:Well it was better than I remember. They obviously cut all of the awkward silences. I think the main problem was how gooseberry fool the panellists were. None of them had anything to say!

I thought it was good but definitely the weakest of the three episodes so far. Matt Berry wasn't very funny and didn't say anything, and the bloke from Eastenders looked really miserable.

How did the scores work when you saw it being filmed? On TV they made no sense as Jack Dee was losing by 2 points going into the last round. Then Ulrika's team scored 3 more and Jacks got 0 but he somehow won. I just wonder if the scores are accurate but questions are cut, or they do just make it up?

They pretty much just make it up I think. They shot the Cube bit at least three times, with him winning a couple of them. The guy from Eastenders was, I think, purposefully putting on a hardman act. They had a running gag where he'd get telephone calls from all the other Eastenders cast members in the middle of a question but it obviously didn't work.

Also, Angelos was a strawberry floating legend. Talked it up with the crowd, stayed in character the whole time and was absolutely hilarious. His disco bit went on for aaaaaages!

I always suspected they made the scores up, and they already know beforehand who will be doing the final challenge. I also has a suspicion that the Eastenders guy was trying his best to not laugh, but it didn't make much sense why he would do that and Jack Dee already fills that role. So as edited it didn't really work.

They should extend the show to 45 minutes as they always seem to cut out loads of stuff.

Don't react to him. He goes into the Top Gear thread slagging it off most of the time.

Angelos is hilarious.

Must say I probably wouldn't watch Shooting Stars if I didn't like Angelos. Vic and Bob aren't what they used to be.

Kill Crazy didn't really seem up for it :( And I'm not sure about 'Vangelis'

My last few posts in the Top Gear thread;

Loved the Electric Car bit, very good series.

Super episode

The Interceptor bit was brilliant, May just looked amazing with the tache and glasses, also that car looks the strawberry floating nuts.

Formula 1 bit was excellent as well. Then the end was just hilarious 'Princess Diana had one of these'

James May really is brilliant when he's away from the other Top Gear nobs

Good episode.

I'll have to drive to Monaco one of these days

As I've said a million times before I don't particularly care it's all a set-up as long as it's funny and most of that Snow Plough section was just simple slapstick humour.

They could probably have done with another car test in the episode though. Or something throwaway that they used to do a lot of like testing the Faraday Cage theory, how to get out of a sinking car, car darts etc.

Though the Amber girl was ludicrously hot there was something slightly off about the interview. I might not have noticed if after saying how into cars she was she could actually drive for gooseberry fool.

Another good episode, pretty funny too.

I don't know how you can call an episode with the Zonda R/Pegg&Frost/Helium Jokes - weak

Best episode in ages. So far best season in a while actually.

I think 'twat' is a bit harsh but fine. I'm only going on what I see.

These have been some pretty good episodes so far, but you have to wonder why Max Fromeastenders ever bothered to go on the show. He just looks bored, which makes him boring.

Archie Andrews (friend of the show)

I did this by severing my real arms and replacing them with super-human cyborg arms.

That Eastenders bloke didn't come off too good on this, did he?

Should have used this version too:

Did anyone else just hear Bob say "Over there by the beefburgers"? It's been such a long time.

There was also a Goodbye Forever from Archie Andrews (friends of the show). Maybe one of them recently signed up here?
