Noel Fielding is a comedy vacuum.

I actually like Noel Fielding, though I can completely understand why people hate him.

Meh.

I think you'll find it wasn't. Lamarr was amazing. He always managed to hit the right spot with his jokes. The guy they got after him never managed to pull it off the way Lamarr did.

Have you watched any of the episodes where Amstell hosts? Far better than Lamarr.

Lamarr was good, infact brilliant. And i refused to accept Amstell for a while, but after i watched a good few Buzzcock eps. I have noticed how brilliant he is, and he is like Frankie boyle in the way he really isnt PC and shouldnt say the things he says on TV.

I burst out laughing when he insinuated Courtney Love murdered Kurt Cobain. While he does produce some cringe worthy moments Amstell is a very good host.

Bailey looked pretty bored on the show, like how Paul Merton looks disinterested on Have I Got News For You.

Who is he? Is he a twat?

Yes.

Hes that guy who made a career out of covering (murdering) respectable artists like Radiohead or The Smiths, and then going on Radio 1 and acting all cocky as if hes gods gift to music.

Unfortunately, music aside his personality is rubbish too. I don't know if hes ever guested on it before but I think he would be gooseberry fool on buzzcocks.

He did guest once in the last series. He was average really; quite quiet which makes me wonder why they want him as a captain.

He's friends with Amy Winehouse.

I think Amstell is a great host, much better than Lamarr by the end. Shame that Bill Bailey is leaving, but I'll still watch.

Lamarr stopped being funny after a while. Just angry.

This, sorta. Amstell is brilliant, and makes the show, for me. I never liked it that much when Lamarr was presenting.

I think Lamarr's passion for music really shon through, which made his vitriol all the more effective. He wasn't as one-note as Frankie Boyle has become, though, who seems to be straying into self parody. I like Amstell, but definately preffered Lamarr.

Anywho, I like Bailly, but I'm not upset he's leaving. He's certainly less integral to my enjoyment of the show than Jupitus. Definately not happy about the guest captains, or the prospect of Noel Fielding.

"I hate Robbie Williams/Westlife, I want him/them to die" every sodding week doesn't equate to passion for music.

Noooooo.

Ah well, I'd been gradually losing interest in the show anyway. Please, for the love of all thats humorous, not Noel Fielding!

Bill Bailey isn't one of the original cast members though.

Big Phil is the only one rocking it from the beginning.

Amstel is really good, so is Lemar (I met him once in the 100 club) got his autograph.

Why all the Noel Fielding hate the Mighty Boosh is awesome.

I think Simon Amstell is so much better than Lamarr, the episode where the guy walked out was just side splitting...

The way he dealt with it was just top draw

I'm the opposite. I never used to like it with Lamarr but think Simon Amstell is hilarious. I just watched that episode with that tit from Tower of London's or whatever they were called. Such a strawberry floating funny episode. I haven't laughed so hard in ages.

Am I the only one, then, who thinks that NMTB is, and always has been, a steaming pile of despicably unfunny shite? Well, myself and Lemmy.

Can't believe the Amstell love on here. Always thought the guy was embarrassingly awful to watch, whether it was NTMB or Popworld.
