I eargerly await getting to grips with this, especially online. Chalky has seized the initiative...

im not buying them 2 games either , you up for some online games, im not sure if there will be many people on MS2 with gears out

I'll be online for sure with this. I have just started to get into the original after not really liking it before and the demo won me over.

I'm still undecided about MS2. What's the career offline mode like? I gave MS offline alot of hours and still have 2 or 3 tickets left to gold/complete - would prefer a difference in how it works.

I loved the online stuff on MS though, the feeling of flying past someone on your bike and flicking the V is rarely matched!

It's similar to the first only this time there are 4 different themed modes to chose from : Earth, Fire, Water & Air, each with 4(I think) tailored tracks that fit the theme, ie: the four fire tracks will be set in or around a volcano, the earth ones set in the gooseberry fool, the water ones around the beach or beside a river and the air ones in the mountains with lots of jumps. You also have elimatator(the person in last is eliminated every 20 seconds) and speed lap tickets in the mix as well as regular races. I think there's 20 tickets in each theme, so 80 in total. You get 100 points for 1st, 75 for 2nd & 50 for third to unlock more tickets. There's only one event per ticket this time as opposed to the 2, 3 or 4 you'd get in the first game. You can jump in and out of the 4 modes at any time so you'll neve be left with just the same race to complete in order to progress.

They've also added a bunny hop to the bikes & quads(press down, then up really fast: strawberry floatin 'hilarious in 4 player btw) as well as an F-Zero style side nudge for the other vehicles(L1/R1) that shoots your boost meter all the way up to the top in one go, as I learned the hard way. Only to be used in case of emergencys.

I also love the opening cinema. It looks even better than the first one. I presume it's real HD footage of an island. It looked incredible.

Degoose, have I got you on PSN mate? I'll have to add you for the weekend.

A thread in C&OG directing people to here wouldn't go amiss though. No harm in it.

Having second thoughts...I tend to take chalkitdowns opinion with a pinch of salt these days. That silly bastard loved Ninja Gaiden II, don't you know?
I'll keep my pre-order I suppose, if only for the t-shirt.

You know what I say to people who don't think the graphics are all that?

BALLS.

I've just spent the last hour and a half strawberry floating around with the photo mode. It's absolutely brilliant.

I uploaded 30 shots for you to enjoy. I'll group them in spoiler boxes of 5 to cut down on loading.

   I love this game.

D'ya know how much I love it? I've had LittleBigPlanet since midday and I haven't even taken it out of the case, yet.

I'm gonna post these three outside of the spoiler boxes to make sure everyone sees them. My three favourite pics.

That looks way better than the demo doesn't it? How old was the demo build?

Yeah, I think the Photo mode must enhance things, because there's no way it looks that good in motion.

It doesn't make sense that they would have it touch up the render but leave it aliased, though.
