Those tracks look great, I think. Upping the count was one of the best improvements they could have made. 16 tracks of that size is a pretty good achievement.

They look awesome alright - and here they are to scale with one another.

Badlands look strawberry floating huge - Mudslide looks like a tight, compact Big Rig favourite. :)

I ended up buying the first game again recently for a fiver brand new so have given it some more time.

The sequel looks to have more variety to the tracks, The original plays well enough but the tracks bored me so hopefully this will be better on that front.

Oh and voice chat please.

This might be useful to someone.

If you preorder from GameStop (http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=70789) they'll email you a code to download the Pacific Rift demo. One word or warning though: they've introduced some weird International Order policy where, to complete the order, you'll need you to fax over a copy of your bank statement (with important numbers blacked out) as proof that you are who you say you are. If you don't do this within a certain time they'll cancel your order, or you can cancel it yourself through your account. However the good news is they'll email you the demo code almost immediately, before any of this becomes an issue (allowing you to play the demo while waiting for your videogamesplus.ca preorder to come through :) ). One other disclaimer: you may need to redeem the code through a US account although I'm not certain of this (I have one setup so I can access the US store on my UK machine, but I don't know if you'll need to do this).

I've ordered a few things from GameStop in the past but cancelled Motorstorm when they emailed me about this new policy for International orders. However the demo is awesome ;)

An interesting question - I recall in the first game having to choose a 'universe' before every play session. The universes...universai...err, whatever...were always 'EU' or 'NZ/Australia'.

I really wanted to love Motorstorm, but I had no fun with it because I found it stupidly hard right from the start. :(

What're the odds that this one'll be more accessible to someone who isn't that great at racers?

Wait a second, this is out in the US this month and the UK next month?

What to do, I might wait with all the games out in October and will probably purchase an extra game then, possibly Saints Row 2 or Fallout 3!

Personally - I'm waiting to see how the lobby works - we could yet be closed out of the EU online mode if we import.

Is the 28/11 the definate EU date? What are play.com up to, having it down 2 weeks beforehand?
