Everyone running about with weapons I've never seen before, using powers I've not seen before, in maps I've not played in before. Weird.

It's almost like they've been applying some sort of updates.

Theres about 16 new characters, about 10 new weapons, 12 new weapons mods, 12 new gears, 3 new maps, and old maps have hazard variations.

A new dlc will supposedly add hazards to other maps, about 6 new weapons, and probably at least 6 new characters. maybe some more maps. nd possibly released mid feb to early march. or so the speculation goes.

Some of the maps have variants that contain "hazards"; That out side snowy one (white) has got a snow storm going on in the outside bit so visibility is reduced. The one with he radars in a desert has a sand storm that reduces visibility. The one with the reactor has the added effect of being able to close the reactor doors and kill anything inside. The little indoory space station lab one has got a little electrical storm drifting around the level that can kill you. The one on techunka is set at night with lightening flashes. And the one with the container boxes has got acid rain showers that strip shields.

I really think they should set it in another galaxy, with all new races and a different storyline than the cycle. I still care about the franchise.

So... some advice needed. I'm at the Kai Leng battle and think I'm a little underpowered. (Checking out videos online confirms this). So... I need to do some more grinding I think.

Only... last time I checked on the galaxy map, the Cerberus Headquarters was the only mission left. And I don't get any invitations to speak with people on the Citadel anymore (to give new missions) either. So... am I screwed? Should I start over, or can I restart from a fairly recent save game and get new missions (and thus more experience). If yes, how?

...or mini cheat by adjusting the difficulty down from options menu, then do the battle and put it back up after.....not ideal but better than restarting over if you had to.

It's a tough battle... What class are you?

I found the first phase ok. The second and ongoing phases i stayed near where the floor opens up and the pipes. You can use the pipes to stop him doing a straight run at you. The sword attack is the one to watch out for (insta kill). The other damage you should be able to take. Get your team to spam abilities, pick off the grunts (watch the nades). Just plug away!

I was a 50ish infiltrator.

Did it! As a level 40 soldier. 8-)

What's the deal with the Galactic Readiness Rating?

I tried to go back to this yesterday and found myself bored stiff. Hopefully I'll finish it at some point as otherwise it seems a shame. I finished the other two and was enjoying this, previously.

I'm at the bit where I'm supposed to be mucking up the geth fleet which doesn't really seem cool as the stupid Quarians asked for a fight.

You get to choose a couple of times with whom your loyalty lies during that (3 parter) mission. It was one of my favourites. Except maybe for the 3 Geth Primes at the end... :x

O and too bad Tali died in the end. I really liked her Hacker ability.

If your good enough and had their loyalty in previous games then you can unite both the Geth and the Quarians in your fight against the Reapers Illusive Man.

Just bought the 3 SP DLC from Origin. Couldn't help myself :fp:

Yeah, I heard that. I'm playing the Wii U version, so no prior data - other than the decisions I made during the interactive comic that described what happened in 1 and 2.
Not sure if I could have had it play out as you described it, but hey. It's fine. Not that big a deal.

Just found out, the only way to get your Galactic Readiness Rating up is by playing online. Not sure if I like that.

The missions in ME2 were more character driven and as such there was a better compulsion to play. Here in ME3 the missions are more story driven, and the story is a bit to unfocused, broad and unengaging.

Yeah.

"The galaxy is being destroyed!"

"Let's go do all these side missions!"

It's a bit schizophrenic.
