I think that's Kinect functionality pretty much confirmed. So two ME3 demos tomorrow, one at Microsoft's conference and one at EA's.

Weird as it sounds coming from me, I am kinda excited to see how Kinect integrates with Mass Effect, the series is perfect for gestures in the menus or biotic powers.

Press RB to use a biotic power

or

take hand off controller, thrust awkwardly towards screen, praying that the gesture is recognised.

Exactly. There's nothing that comes to mind that they can add with Kinect that I'd not just rather do with the press of button. Unless they have some sort of amazing revelatory use for it, which is unlikely, it seems completely pointless.

Mass Effect 3 Collector's Edition detailed, out March 2012

Mass Effect 3 will launch on March 6, 2012, in regular and Collector's Edition formats, if a new Amazon listing's anything to go by.

According to the online retailer's US arm, the $79.99 (£48.80) pack will include the following contents:

Premium metal case featuring commemorative artwork of Commander Shepard.
70-page hardbound art book featuring hundreds of unique and gorgeous illustrations from the BioWare development team plus an exclusive 4x6 lithographic print featuring a one-of-a-kind piece of artwork
Limited edition Mass Effect comic by Dark Horse Comics, complete with unique cover artwork
Join the ranks of the N7 with the premium fabric N7 patch
A full collection of in-game content that can't be found anywhere else!

The game's box art also says the Xbox 360 version will support Kinect, something that's expected to be confirmed during Microsoft's E3 press conference tonight.

This is one of the few games that I would buy the special edition of.

He looks quite different in ME3. The jump in graphics took me a little by surprise, it's not massive but it's more than I thought it would be.

It might just be me but, especially during the Bioware demo, it looked like Shepard had aged a little bit since ME2. I don't know how they do it but they've managed to make ME3 look better than ME2 - looks a lot "cleaner" so to speak i think.

They completely missed the point of Kinect voice integration. The Mass Effect 3 presentation showed the player recite the text on the screen and then have the character basically repeat what you said within the 'story'.

What they should have done is get the player to say one prompt on the screen and then have the person you are talking too respond directly afterwards. That would have much, much better...as if you are actually there rather than going through some translation for 'story' purposes.

I'd love it if they patched both the first and second games with the third's graphics.

SugarDave have you heard the talk that we'll get tomeet a Prothean during ME3? Apparently this new Origin thing of EA's mentions something about aProthean "character" as day 1 DLC

I did read that, I had to do a double take  There's a lot of content included in the special edition, I'm certainly picking it up. EA could've just shown ME3 and BF3 and they would've had a better showing than Microsoft

There's 2 more ME3 demos coming up on GT, I think.

In the Shadow Broker DLC for ME2, wasn't it mentioned that the Broker believed that some Protheans still lived on? I had a feeling that would come back to haunt us.
