It's not really a counter, it's just a worse version of DD because you have no control over it.

For example if you were going against a discard deck then he'd be absolutely useless, where as DD wouldn't have that issue.

DD just needs some kind of nerf.

Both cards cost 5 and have 3 base power, and both cards pull their +2 bonuses from the same player's hand. Therefore their power should be identical (save for other card boosts). If your opponent plays DD on turn 5 you can play Ronan on turn 6 and still have an energy point left over.

I have DD and Ronan in the same deck (relatively new idea I've been trying) because it's like being able to drop two finisher cards in each game.

Okay, but at best you're going to draw with them.

Moon girl and Dino is a more consistent combo that doesn't rely on your opponent. Which is why people use that instead of Ronan. If Ronan had 1 more power then it might be worth it.

It's still a pretty big advantage to just be able to play a bunch of low cost cards to ruin the power of an enemy card though. That's the big problem with Ronan.

If they shedded cards to nerf Ronan they would also nerf DD at the same time - you have them caught in a Catch-22 and it would depend on the other cards in play. I see from what you say why Ronan is a less good offensive card in its own right (although certainly not useless), but purely as a counter to DD it seems effective in theory.

There really are some bullshit cards in this game

Hela summons every card you've discarded over the course of the game. And the guy had discarded like five 6 cost cards.

Wtf are you meant to do to that

He literally didn't play anything for the first 3 turns.

What level are you at? I'm expecting this game to have a shelf life before the whales come along who have pumped a fortune in to the game.

Being a whale doesn't really get you cards any more quickly.

The problem I'm facing now is I'm in pool 3 but it's placing me against people who have a ton more cards than me. I never had this issue before but I'm literally losing to people who are pulling insane combos off with like 5 different cards I don't have.

On paper the cards are pretty balanced but the issue is the more cards you have the more potential you have to create stupid combos like Wong/Mystique/White Tiger/Odin or Death Wave.

I know it'll level out once I earn the cards myself but it's a bit frustrating right now. I'm like level 600 for reference.

The current paid pack in the store gives 12,500 credits for £90. At 50 credits per level, that would boost your collection level by 250 (plus the additional boost for further credits earned). I'd estimate that would unlock around 30 new cards. I'm glad whales dont seem to be a problem in pool 3 though, as I'm now at collection level 480 and pool 3 unlocks at 486. :dread: I think my opportunity to hit rank 60 this season has gone. :fp: I'm wondering how long I can hold out upgrading cards, as I have the credits spare to take me in to pool 3, but would like to avoid it for a while until I can unlock several new cards at once to give me some sort of chance!

I'm hovering around rank 57 and the only pool 3 card I'm using is Arnim Zola (or however you spell it), it destroys a card and copies it to the other two locations, proccing on reveal abilities. It's really good with Gamora, you can get her to +17 :D I think it's doable, just a grind. Just do some research and make sure you retreat if you see people start to set up combos you have no counter for. I'd advise not snapping at all until you've played like 20-30 games and are used to what gooseberry fool people are trying to pull

Someone please let me know when there's an option to switch off location effects bc I am done with this thanks to the OTT effects (I just had one which ended the game after turn 4) making deck strategy all but pointless.

They are a key element of the game, so I doubt they'll ever be turned off. Does certainly add an element of luck to the game at times though!

With how ridiculous some of the location effects are they may as well randomize the whole deck.

Unless you have a card which can change it like Scarlet Witch, Rhino or Storm, or Jubilee which can bring in one of your 5/6 cards...

I've been playing the game heavily since November and I've had the TVA location maybe a dozen times (edit: it was a featured location one week as well actually) - it's hardly game-breaking. Locations add another layer to the game so people don't just play cards in formation every single time.

OTT location effects make it broken. You're not going to convince me otherwise. I'll move on.

Please quote me when they add location options. Cheers.

There are cards which destroy/change locations if they bother you that mutch, it's usually a good idea to run at least one so you can change a location that doesn't benefit you.

I use Storm for example, but Scarlet Witch and Rhino can also change locations. You get Scarlet Witch really early too.

Locations can be annoying, but they make sure that no ONE deck is ever 'the best' you have to have a well rounded deck that can deal with different potential locations.

Dual wrote:How do you use Ebony Maw properly?

Place him with sunspot and armor, means you can still make the lane a threat by increasing sunspot's power. Cards that can move like vision also make him a threat since you can add another 7 power there at any time

You can also use chantress to disable his ability if you play her at the same time, and as he's an ongoing card spectrum can boost him.
