You can't just post that and then not elaborate. :x

I'm a beta tester. This was part of an email I received. :D

I gathered that but for what though? New DLC or LBP2?

I don't see why people want to be in on beta testing, i was in one and it just took the shine off the final product (in a "oh ive done this before" kind of way).

I seem to remember a fair few people loving the beta and then being bored of the real game when it arrived.

It's not a LBP2 beta. But it is for a huge new feature that you already know is coming.

Sony is closing down all LittleBigPlanet online games functionality in Japan on 31 July. Yep, even for LittleBigPlanet 3 on PS4 :o . No news on USA / Europe yet... watch this space.

I'm starting to get rather uncomfortable with console games having gameplay terminated. I know LBP is a few years old on PS3, but is it right that even "big" titles can suddenly be shut down? I'd be hugely disappointed if I was a LBP fan who had splashed out fifty quid for the PS4 title.

It's especially a nuisance if you are into Trophy or Achievement collecting. There a tonne of games out there now where it is now impossible to get 1000g/the platinum trophy due to multiplayer servers being shut down.

I suppose it is understandable if the servers aren't busy anymore as they cost money to run but I was playing LPB3 very recently and every 10-20 minutes I had people trying to join my game so there's definitely people still playing it.
